I only really know one song, and it goes hard on the strings. So it is high time I expanded my knowledge of German language musicals further.

My inadvertant christmas tradition of helping build the Christmas display with Fonda Lee's words and Andrew Kishino's voice playing in my headphones.

Fastest we've built it and first time it's not ended up the third book in the series I was (re)listening to at the time. It's not even like I only "read" the Greenbone Saga at christmas, let's not get into how often I return to Janloon. . . by @whawilshere

First full day in Berlin. Figured I should at least go past these. Will have to pay a proper visit another day.

Berlin has a different feel than London, which isn't surprising. Such an international city, most things are minimum in German and English. Have also seen signs with Dutch, French, and Ukrainian a few times. Also the U-Bahn trains have comfy seats and don't slowly try to cook you alive.

Absolutely different than Lower Saxony, you never realise how friendly folk are where you're based till you get a weird look for apologising when bumping into someone 😅. Also, I feel like greeting the check out person at the shops with English would get a better reaction than "moin". . .

Also everyone and their dog smokes here, and they all seem to prefer the rankest stuff. You over take one smoker to get stuck behind two with even worse taste. Sigh.

Also saw a bicycle city tour, which is the most European thing I have ever seen. by @whawilshere

Had to see tanz der vampire at least once more before it closes. You find a new world of musicals, find one you love, and then it comes to a close with no new planned location - bugger. As ever, fantastic. And as ever the actors for the Professor and Magda were my fav performers.

Was gonna finally grab a shirt since I may not get another chance for a while, but everyone else was cutting in front (screams in British) and by the time I got near the front they were out of my sizes. You gotta be a vampire to have alles und ganz 🤷‍♂️.

I guess I'll just have to discover more German language musicals now. by @whawilshere

Our vacation is not quite yet done, but here's the probably last post about it. And the great theatre we got to see the last couple of days in London: "Hadestown", "Operation Mincemeat" and "Much Ado about Nothing" (at the New Globe). Couldn't choose a favourite if we tried, they are all so different and amazing. But shoutout to Hester!

DE: Unser Urlaub ist noch nicht ganz zu Ende, aber hier kommt trotzdem schon einmal der wahrscheinlich letzte Post über ihn. Und die großartigen Theater-/Musicalstücke, die wir in den letzten Tagen gesehen haben: "Hadestown", "Operation Mincemeat" und "Viel Lärm um Nichts" (im New Globe Theater). Wir könnten nicht sagen, welches unser Lieblingserlebnis war, alle drei waren komplett verschieden und großartig! Another holidays update after yesterday's travel day: finally could fullfill 10-year old C.'s English language class' dreams by visiting Alton Towers(it was a thing in our book and will take too long to explain here). You can walk through its beautiful gardens, enjoying nature and screams from the rides in the background(and of course ride them).

DE: Nach dem gestrigen Reisetag, ein weiteres Urlaubs-Update: konnte endlich einen lang gehegten Traum aus Englischunterrichts- Tagen einer 10-Jährigen C. erfüllen und Alton Towers besuchen (war ne Sache in unserem Englischbuch; würde hier zu lange brauchen, es zu erklären). Man kann durch die wunderschönen Gärten spazieren und die Natur und die Schreie von den Fahrgeschäften genießen (und diese natürlich auch fahren). taken in Alton Towers by @whawilshere

After some absolutely wonderful weather yesterday for visiting Craigevar (the pink castle) and Aberdeen (the grey city), the weather today was more traditionally "scottish" visiting Balmoral. It definetly made up for it with it's beautiful green gardens.

DE: Nachdem das Wetter gestern absolut wundervoll war als wir Craigevar (das pinke Schloss) und Aberdeen (die graue Stadt) besuchten, zeigte sich das Wetter heute auf Balmoral eher traditionell "schottisch". Cause I only ever seem to post during holidays: here's some Scotland.
Beautiful Braemar and it's beautiful castle (reopened after it's refurbishment) in beautiful weather.
Starring: the Linn of Dee and historic re-enactment (of the Jacobites vs the Redcoats).

DE: Weil ich scheinbar nur während meines Urlaubs poste: hier ein wenig Schottland.
Das wunderschöne Braemar, sein wunderschönes Castle (das nach Renovierungsarbeiten endlich wieder eröffnet hat) bei wunderschönem Wetter.
