I’d love to say this journey has been easy… but it definitely hasn’t. Becoming a pilot takes a lot of dedication, studying, repetition, and honestly—you have to immerse yourself in it.

If you don’t fully submerge yourself in the information, training, and flying, it can take a very long time to complete everything… and even longer to actually remember and retain it all.

But man, this journey has been FUN! 🙌🏾 Every flight, every lesson, every mistake, every accomplishment has brought me one step closer to the goal.
Now that I’m wrapping up all of my requirements, it’s officially time to shift gears…

CHECK RIDE PREP STARTS NOW! 💪🏾✈️
The journey isn’t over… we’re just getting to the next level!
Work Hard. Be Humble. Keep Climbing. 🛫

First time hitting the Long CC with my instructor! ✈️🔥

Also got flight following for the first time. I’ve been watching videos, studying what to expect, and listening to how it’s done—but it’s TOTALLY different when you’re actually in the soup trying to manage everything at once 😂
Had some mistakes today, but that’s part of learning. Every flight is an opportunity to get better, tighten things up, and become a more confident pilot.
Nothing is going to stop me from becoming the BEST pilot I can possibly be! 💪🏾✈️

To all my student pilots out there: KEEP GOING!

Take it one flight at a time. Be 1% better every time you go up. You got this! 🚀

First cross-country flight ✅✈️

And honestly… it went really well! A few small things I know I can improve on, but I can feel everything starting to slow down and come together.
If you’re a student pilot out there, remember... just be 1% better every time you go up. You don’t have to be perfect. Learn, improve, and keep showing up. You got this! 💪🏽✈️

Side note… 😂 that definitely wasn’t my best landing. Those damn crosswind landings will get you every time! 😂

Rate my exchange with ATC!! For those of you that don't know.. ATC can be INTIMIDATING to a student Pilot. (They really want the best for us, but its aaalloott)

ill be completely transparent. Being A QB in high school I thought I could pick this Exchange up with ATC really fast. Well I did, but it took time like anything else!! Nothing is perfect as you can see in this Video but.. im trying!!

If your a student pilot the only way to get better at it, is Video yourself over and over !!! by @whbhaviation

Today, I reached a milestone that every pilot remembers forever…

I completed my first solo flight. ✈️

For those who aren't familiar with aviation, a solo is the first time a student pilot flies an airplane completely alone. After hours of training, your instructor steps out of the aircraft and trusts that you have the knowledge, judgment, and skills to safely take off, fly, and land on your own. It's one of the biggest milestones on the journey to becoming a pilot.

This isn't the finish line, it's another step toward earning my Private Pilot Certificate, which I'll receive after completing more flight training and passing a checkride which will be at the end of the month!!

I'm incredibly grateful for my instructor, and @frequencychangeaviation and everyone who's encouraged me along the way, and my folks following my journey!!

Work Hard. Be Humble. ✈️💙

Big jump today. ✈️
For the first time, I feel like everything clicked and came together. Aviation truly is a foreign language... and every lesson is teaching me to become more fluent.

The more I learn, the more respect I have for every pilot out there. What looks easy from the ground is the result of countless hours of studying, training, and discipline.
One lesson at a time. One flight at a time. The journey continues.

First time being back on the Yoke in 3 weeks due to officiating @ NBA Summer league and attending OSH26 for the first time! Today was a knock the rust off type of session.

I did surprise myself and crushed 4 landing today. First video of me flying and thought I had the audio cord recording ATC also ... nahhh Rookie mistake.
Cant wait to show yall because I have been working really hard at communicating to towered airports.

Next video I will have it recorded for everyone to hear!! Its alot but I love the challenge!!

Yesterday was such an honor spending time with the incredible team at @cirrusaircraft . Seeing the project we worked on come to life through 🎥 and 📸 was something pretty cool. Walking in and seeing it displayed on the walls was a full-circle moment.
This is just another reminder that big dreams start with small steps. I'm grateful for every opportunity, every lesson, and everyone who's been part of this journey.
The mission is bigger than me—it's about inspiring the next generation to believe aviation is possible.

Dream big. Work hard. Stay humble. ✈️

Thank you, Cirrus. The journey is just getting started.

NEW CHAPTER. SAME MISSION.

For those who have been with me over the years, thank you.
Many of you know me from building and leading WHBH Cycling. That experience taught me something I'll carry with me forever—when you invest in people, you can change lives.

Today, I'm excited to officially introduce WHBH Aviation.
This isn't just about learning to fly or earning my Private Pilot License. It's about opening doors that many people never knew existed.

You'll get to follow my journey from student pilot to licensed pilot, experience aviation through my eyes, and watch us build something much bigger than flying.
Our mission is to: ✈️ Inspire the next generation of aviators. 📚 Educate students and families about careers in aviation. 🤝 Build partnerships that create real opportunities. 🏫 Bring aviation into schools and communities. 🌎 Show that becoming a pilot is achievable, regardless of your background.
To everyone who supported WHBH Cycling—I hope you'll stay for this journey. The bikes may be changing to airplanes, but the mission hasn't changed.
Work Hard. Be Humble.

Welcome to WHBH Aviation. ✈️
