Will you help me choose?
The restoration of my '88 VW Golf Mk2 CL is progressing steadily. The bodywork has already been completely overhauled, but I also want to think about the details. For instance, the Golf has emblems on the side with the 'CL' designation.
Which option would you choose?
• Photo 1: Paint the letters silver-grey.
• Photo 2: Chrome plate the letters.
• Photo 3: Preserve the original patina and wear.

I received a few more stunning photos from the ride-out with @christians_and_cars last weekend. They were taken by C&C's in-house photographer @regina.van.den.berg.
It was another amazing day, and it was great that good friend Hilko joined me as a co-driver again.

What a fantastic ride-out this weekend with @christians_and_cars (C&C). The ingredients for this success?
✅️ Great routes and fantastic service by C&C,
✅️ A hospitable welcome and tour in the automotive candy store of @louwmanexclusive,
✅️ A nice stopover with lunch at @rank.utrecht,
✅️ A surprising conclusion at detailer @gntlbright,
✅️ And of course, a super fun group of drivers and passengers with the most diverse cars,
✅️ A goodie bag full of fun and tasty treats,
✅️ Thanking God that we can enjoy our shared car hobby 🙏.

My project car, the heirloom VW Golf Mk2, is back at the restorer's workshop. So we are one step closer. With a bit of luck, we will restart this project in October/November. I can't wait, so I took a look at the '88 little car today.

Although the reason for my visit to the Grote Kerk Elburg was sad, it did yield a beautiful photo of my 'most beautiful wheelchair van in the Netherlands' parked by this old church building.

Little animals and my Mercedes-Benz, it's a good combo 😃...
Who said my diesel isn't environmental friendly? 😉

I can't wait until my 'project' Golf Mk2 is ready.
Here it is parked next to my 'most beautiful wheelchair van in the Netherlands'.

Today I went to a medical appointment in Barneveld. Afterwards, I found my van like this, with the 'Oude Kerk Barneveld' in the background and a modern crane next to it as a contrast. So I just had to take this quick photo.

Found a super nice video of my VW Golf Mk2 from about 15 years ago during a holiday in Austria.
Judging by the quality of the video, we were still filming with a potato back then 😅.
It's a bit of a sped-up video, because my father took his time dusting 🤭 off the Golf before taking it for a spin with my (now deceased) mother.
This Golf is currently being restored and ♿️-converted.
The black Škoda Octavia 20VT Laurin & Klement was mine back then.

Thanks to @combron for repairing this damaged video file.

I received some stunning photos from Richard van Herwaarden this week. He took them for my article in @support.magazine about my 'most beautiful wheelchair van in the Netherlands' and my passion for cars and writing.
That (Dutch) article, initiated by @beverautoaanpassingen, can be read in one of the links in my bio.
I will be posting some more photos from this shoot soon.

Anyone who has been following my account for a while will discover that a photo like this is almost becoming a tradition. In recent years, I have invariably taken a photo of these yellow daffodils with my 'most beautiful wheelchair accessible van in the Netherlands' in the background during this season whenever I had to be at the @vogellanden rehabilitation center. So this year was no exception!
