Today would have been the wedding anniversary of these two. Mom and Dad were two of the biggest love birds I have ever known. What an incredible example they set for us kids!

I'm always proud of my 7 South Band boys! They have accomplished so much, came so far and are such great musicians and people.

I'm happy to announce two very prestigious nominations that were just announced!

7 South has been nominated by the Arkansas Country Music Awards in the Vocal Duo/Group of the Year and Walker Robinson has been nominated as Special/Utility Musician of the Year!

That means they were selected as one of the top 5 in the state of Arkansas in each of those categories out of many, many submissions.

So congratulations to the band as a whole and to Walker! Y'all keep on rockin'! by @wheeler.glenn

I have been hinting about an announcement coming soon.

Tonight, to a small group of family and friends, we premiered the official music video for How Can I Measure a Broken Heart, the song I co-wrote with Anthony Kent.

The premier tonight was emotional and a group of people laughed together and some cried together. But in the end, I think everyone was moved by it. I think Stacey Yeager Wheeler would be pleased and honored.

The video will drop on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and various platforms tomorrow.

I can't wait to share it with the rest of you and will post a link to it and tell more of the story after it is available tomorrow.

Today is one of those days that I dread each year... Six years ago today, just about this time in the afternoon, Stacey was called home to the Lord. It's a rough day for several of us.

It's hard to believe it's been six years. It just doesn't seem possible. As I have often said, some days it seems like yesterday and some days it seems like a lifetime ago.

But, today marks 2190 days that have passed without her. There hasn't been one day out of all those that I haven't thought about her multiple times.

I know that where she is, there is no counting of years. Or, for that matter, days or hours. But there sure is down here.

Stacey Shay, I love you and you are missed beyond explanation.

Today is Thanksgiving, but it's special to me in another way, too.

Of course, Thanksgiving is set aside to take stock in the things we are thankful for and then show that thankfulness.

I believe we should do that everyday, but today is set aside specifically for the purpose and to remind us of how blessed we are. Most of us will gather with friends and family and eat amazing meals and laugh and hug and maybe cry a little. But the idea is to be thankful.

I have a lot to be thankful for. First and foremost, my Lord. I'm thankful for the salvation and grace he provides. Also, the freedoms we enjoy in this nation. Of course my family, my amazing friends, the 30 years I had with a very special woman. My health, my job, getting to live in the prettiest county in Arkansas and so much more. I thank God for that and I thank all the people in my life that make my life so good.

But, as I mentioned, today is special for me and my family for another reason, too. Today would have been my mother's birthday.

Those that knew her will tell you she was an amazing woman. I know I'm a little biased, but everyone who whose life she touched would tell you the same thing .

So I'm thankful for so many things today, but I'm also thankful for the funny, loving, strong, Godly woman who raised me by herself after my dad died when I was 11. I'm thankful for what she instilled in me and what she taught me.

So happy birthday, Eva Martin Wheeler! There'll never be another one like you! You are loved and missed.

So today, gather with your family or your friends or whoever makes you happy. Be thankful and let those around you know that you're thankful for them.

Enjoy the day, reach out to those less fortunate who might need a meal or a word of encouragement on this special day, as holidays are very tough for some people.

And to those of you out there who make my life as good as it is, thank you. I'm thankful to have you in my life.

On this veterans Day, I would like to say thank you to all the veterans out there, past and present. Thank you for all you have sacrificed for this country and all of us who love it. And whether they like it or not, even those that don't love it.

Larry Rea left us earlier today. He was a tremendous human being! A great communicator, a light in this world, a Godly man, a family man, a Razorback fan, part of my SEOPA family and so much more. But, Larry Rea was also my friend and a man I looked up to, admired, respected and loved being around. I know his recent suffering is over and he is with his "brother from another mother", Ron Wong and our Lord and Savior now, but my heart, like so many others, aches back here.

Prayers for his lovely wife Miriam and the rest of his family, friends and loved ones.

Here are three pictures I treasure, taken at the evening gathering the night before The Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame banquet in Springfield, Missouri back in August.
