Had an awesome opportunity to tune a couple duallys last week.

I try and distill shock tuning and performance suspension down to 1 simple concept, I'd say my goal is really just "keep the tires on the ground". That's where you can turn, where you can brake, and most importantly, where you can accelerate.

Unfortunately the wrecker motor had a slight issue 😅 we got it all cleaned up quickly after the initial shock wore off. There's already talks of a new motor for it that's going to be de-tuned to only 2000 horsepower. Sometimes your motor is an active part of your suspension, and faster is faster 🤷

Absolutely insane times in Moab, can't wait to go back with my full tuning trailer and get everything completely dialed in. The 2.5" bypasses are putting in work on this rig, i wish I brought all my pistons to play with swapping them around. Thanks to @generalchevy for trusting me with your vehicle 🙏 and for putting on a memorable show... Though not quite as memorable as @xtreme4x4 sending his crankshaft into the sky 😅😅

We did a thing and it does things 🙏🙏
Next test trip it won't be stuck in 2nd gear and we can get some high speed whoop action, but so far the OEM tune in the @fox IBP's is pretty killer, and these have a machined flat inside so I can easily move around the zones in the front.

Thank you so much to @dmbworks for always believing in us and being an absolute wizard behind a mill.
Also huge thanks to @ewingtech for the long hours picking up my slack and @i_am_the_curtis for being a good friend and mentor/customer.

Crazy to think they've had this setup since 2002 in the rally scene.

Radflo is a breath of fresh air in a sea of corporate shock companies where decisions are made by private equity spreadsheets and not by enthusiasts.
Radflo wants your business and they act like it, they're a family run business making shocks here in southern California.

Of all the dual cylinder IBP setups this is a really unique way to do it, how do you think it stacks up?

It's a sick time to be obsessed with shocks 🫡

I've always wanted more 2.5 IFPs options. It's often the best option value-wise and gives you more performance than most setups need.

These are also offered in universal lengths, so those of you doing shock relocations or leaf spring trucks looking for shocks these should be on your radar.

Seems like all the 4x4 fleet vehicles I've been working with lately are running Fox, and they're innovating like crazy with the linear bypass adjusters, MAC piston, cross flow IBP, and all the advancements with live valve.

6 years ago I said "it would be sick if I could run 8112s on my 3 link" and I gotta say, the wait was worth it. These really exceeded my expectations.

So what do you think, how does this stack up against all the other internal bypass shocks on the market?

One thing to mention is the coil spring hardware itself has been backordered for a few months and still will be for a few weeks. I know a few teams were excited to run these at races and I'm sorry I haven't been able to get them on cars yet 😅 the hardware has been a real issue, but I'm sure they're working on it.

There's never been a sicker time to build stuff.

I was planning to be doing the cage this weekend but my ADHD took over. The rear plate will mount the shock, air bump, and limit straps. The front frame plate mounts... Pretty much nothing 😂

The support for this build has been pretty overwhelming.
Still so many details to iron out, I'm not even sure the 12k portals will survive but I've got less into them + buying the car than a single locker costs, so 🤷

Starting on the cage this week finally, we're only 1.5 weeks behind on my timeline to be pre-running early this winter... which is at least a month ahead of any other project I've done.

I'm finally finished with my contracts and I can get some serious progress made and finish new suspension products I've been designing for years.

Watching ultra 4 for the past 15 years the stock class has always called out to me. We've spent many late nights arguing about what could win and why, and this egg shaped, forgettable, mid 2000s SUV has always been at the top of the list.
I've spent the past 5 years re-investing a nickel into the business for every penny we make. I've been humbled by the support weve gotten and the work Ive been hired to do for government/military, OEM's, and shock companies. There will never be a time when we can justify prioritizing something like this, so we're just doing it 🙏
This is a passion project of ours but in a way this build is also for you. Small shop, 80 hour a week day job, late nights in the garage, trying to take back the every man trophy, for the every man and woman.

When you are racing a 1980’s leaf sprung Jeep, having the most premier shock is the only option. Our friends over at @adsracingshocks are helping us pick up an extra 10 to 15 MPH in the desert this year, this is huge for us. It’s pretty incredible that you can make a last-minute decision like this just two weeks before race day, and have shocks delivered straight from Tucson, installed, tuned, and ready to rock on the lake bed. Thank you ADS for believing in the under dog!

Your favorite leaf sprung hero’s are headed to King of the Hammers once again! We last minute made some major suspension changes to our 4600 car. We want to WIN, and in order to do that, we need to go FAST(er…) Our CJ7 now has all new @adsracingshocks and bumps! We made the call to our friends over at ADS in Tucson, AZ and we had shocks here and installed in just 4 days! (7 days before we leave for hammers) We like to live on the edge… @wheeleveryweekend worked the magic that only he knows how to do and, just like that, we’ve got a go fast CJ7. I mean, just about as fast as you could possibly make a 1985 leaf sprung CJ7 go.. Big thanks to Ian and ADS for helping us push this ol’ @jeep to the limit!

Also HUGE shoutout to @deaver_suspension_inc for all the help. Jeff is the man!🤙🏼🇺🇸
