Special episode of Wheezing tonight with guests Sam Paterson and Dougal Marwick (and guest lurkers @wesleygordonhall and @rosie.a.beast).

Alex is away at the moment so in her absence @jonathan_hamilton_ sat down at home with Sam and Dougal to watch 2 hours of skate videos from the late 80s to modern day and discus their soundtracks. Expect tales aplenty including Sam’s Beastie Boys exclusive, and more.

@perfidiousalbion has spent 4 of his 5 decades on the planet skateboarding which has very willingly shaped his life.
From the halcyon days of the mid 80s where Huey Lewis and Queen tapes were on repeat, along came VHS skate videos, the back pages of Thrasher and John Peel to shape his musical world for the better.
Portobello skatepark is their retirement plan where Dougal, Sam and some of the old Bristo crew still roll around with varying degrees of success, but always with a smile on their faces.

@dougalmarwick knows a lot about shoes, has played in bands to varying degrees of success and used to DJ with Sam on a semi-regular basis. Despite dedicating his entire life to the hobby, he is a mediocre skateboarder at best – but is low-key nice with a drum kit. taken in Bristo Square by @wheezing_ehfm

Anniversary / Birthday special tonight on @ehfm_live with @jonathan_hamilton_ and @its_wheezing.

Alex had been doing Wheezing for years before but June 2026 marks 4 years of us doing the show as a duo. Plus we are both cancer 🦀 babies with Alex’s birthday on the 28th and mine on the 29th!

No real plan for tonight other than lots of new music, some chat and celebrating 4 years together 🥂 by @wheezing_ehfm
