I’m so thankful for our adventures together, Remy; secret pup cups and peanut butter pretzels, going to the beach, visiting new towns, endless walks and lots of cuddles.

I wish we had done more and had a little more time with you. I’m going to miss you so much. You’ve been my sidekick and shadow for a while now.

Working from home these last three years has been the best thing I’ve ever done. You got endless love, and we knew that greeting people was the highlight of your day. You touched the lives of hundreds of people.

Thank you for loving us unconditionally and being so loyal. You were that once in a lifetime dog. That special bond that not everybody gets and you picked me. You changed me forever. I miss rubbing your ears. I miss your face in the bathroom mirror looking at me from your bed when I brush my teeth. I miss your stinky breath and your big stretches when you woke up. I miss hand feeding you and your glances at the water bowl when you were trying to tell me that you were thirsty. I miss you grumpily raising your lip to Remy when he would get too close to your food. I miss the way you would beg (steal) food. I miss the way you barked when you thought I was leaving you in the car. I miss it all.

Life feels so different without you. There are no more potty pads to change. No more carrying you outside every hour to go potty or to enjoy the sun. No more guessing what you want to eat. No more pills to organize. No more weekly vet appointments.

Other than missing you, life may seem easier, but it is surely not better without you.

I hope heaven is awesome, Daisy, but I sure do wish you were here.
