It’s been a while since we’ve been active, so it’s good to be back 👋🏻 There has been a small hiatus with the film, and we are finding this time to dive deeper into our vision and this community.

Here’s a little insight into the title of our film❤️ by @whengodbreaks

Making a film is never easy, but that doesn’t mean we’re giving up.

There’s more to come 🤍💪🏼 by @whengodbreaks

A look into our pitch deck for When God Breaks. Our film is all about empathy and humanity. If we can be a resource for one person struggling in their deconstruction, then that is a win for us.

No one has to struggle alone, and no one should feel ashamed to question.

We are here for you🤍

The word “pleasure” comes with a lot of baggage for the one who deconstructs. It carries warning, shame, and fear.

It has been used as a weapon of control.

Purity culture has wrapped up pleasure in a sinful bow, and tied it to a woman’s worth. That worth becomes conditional and reinforced through shame.

When you begin learning to reclaim pleasure, it can feel unsafe. There may be hesitation or guilt, and you may question whether you’re allowed to feel this at all.

But it is not impossible to break out of this hold. Pleasure can one day feel natural and normal, and you will start to feel one with your body.

You can feel joy, love and trust again. It will take time. And it will be beautiful.

This last week we visited the grounds of Church of the Woods, a possible filming location for our documentary.

Surrounded by a vast forest, this place holds a deep serenity and beauty. 🤍 by @whengodbreaks

It can be a new faith, a new relationship with Jesus, a new way of living, a new set of beliefs, a new spirituality, a new realization.

The title of our film invites a moment of thought, an intentional choice to engage our viewers before they even watch.

Ponder, and allow yourself to be present in your time of deconstruction 🤍 by @whengodbreaks

Within the Christian worldview, morality is grounded in God; good and evil are defined by divine command. Christians argue that without God, morality is unanchored, as if there’s no objective way to distinguish right from wrong.

But this belief overlooks something deeply human: that our capacity for empathy and reason gives rise to moral understanding long before rules are even written.

We can recognize suffering and fairness, caring not because we’re feared into it, but because we can feel and reflect.

Sure, moral systems rooted in fear of punishment may enforce behavior, but it doesn’t necessarily lead to a meaningful existence and understanding of our humanity.

Despite what is preached, it is possible to know what is right and wrong apart from a Christian God-centered worldview.

You can ground your morality in empathy rather than fear 🤍🕊️

We are in week three and our support has grown! We are now 5% funded. Still a ways to go, but we believe we can fully get there.

Take a look out our campaign on Seed&Spark (link in our bio), and share it around. Your voice matters in this, and we welcome it ❤️

You don’t have to be alone when you question. You are still worthy when you wrestle.

And to those who still hold faith, grace isn’t just received, it is also given.
