Yes! We spent the past 40 days and more in the place of refreshing with God!🎉
.
These 40 days together may be over, but it is just the beginning of greater exploits in our place of fellowship with God.
The fire has just been ignited. Let’s keep the flame burning.
Let’s keep our altars blazing in God!🔥

Woke up earlier this week to these nudgings on my heart.
I pray it finds who it’s meant for.

For every heart seeking, may you continue to find and burn for the Lord. 🫶 by @where_friendspray

As we go this week and beyond, here’s a reminder. 🌹 by @where_friendspray

$. “I do not think failure! I can’t think failure! I don’t think failure! I can’t comprehend failure! I…”
That was my alarm, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s voice booming as always. These confessions have stayed with me since my little beginnings. “Ah! Why haven’t I changed this thing?” I wondered as I dismissed it. Too loud to sleep through… yet that’s why it stays. 5am. Time to pray. … I yawned. First week back home. Life was good, everyone fine, no worries.
“Well, nothing to pray about then,” I said and turned over. “So prayer is only when you need something?”
“Well… what else is there to pray about?”
“You don’t always have to do the talking. I talk too.” I sat up. I had never thought of that. “How would you feel if you kept going on dates with a friend who talked nonstop and never let you speak?”
“I’d feel bad.”
“And if all she talked about were her problems?”
“I’d start avoiding her.”
This friend… was me. “Communication is incomplete without feedback. Prayer isn’t just pouring out requests. It’s fellowship.” “So is this why prayer felt easier in school? I was always praying about worries. Now that they’re gone, I feel like I have nothing to pray about.” “You see…” … “What then is prayer?”
“Prayer is fellowship. Think of a couple in love, they talk about everything, not only when they need help. They stay in touch, go on dates to deepen the bond. Even silence is communication. That’s what I want with you, not just requests, but relationship. Appreciation, love, honesty, praying for others… and listening. I speak too.” “Yes, you do.” “When you see Me as part of your daily life, communication becomes easier. No pressure. No rules. The more you explore, the more you see there is to explore.” “Is this what people who pray long hours enjoy?”
“Absolutely. Check the time.”
“Wow, it’s 6:10 am!”
“Over an hour of us talking like friends. That’s prayer. Distractions will come, and sometimes you’ll fall, just rise and continue.” “Thank you Lord…”
“Do you have something to pray about now?”
I smiled and continued in thanks. .
{Olamide O. || Nov 5, 2022} by @where_friendspray$

10/40. ✅

It can only get better! Let’s go!🙇‍♀️ by @where_friendspray

Happy new week. 🌹 by @where_friendspray

.
I once saw a documentary some months ago.
It was a pack of lions hunting down a prey (looked like a cow).
It took quite a while because of the size, thickness of skin and all, but they eventually conquered it.

Look at that! I began to analyze in my mind…
Apparently, there is a way lions hunt.
First, they mostly hunt in groups. It gives them more capacity to bring down their prey.
Then, they mostly look out for animals that are alone, smaller, weak or injured.
They can hardly attack a herd or group because that means more willpower and strength against them, which is why they usually go after the single or weak ones.

It brought to mind this scripture: 1 Peter 5:8-11.
“…Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him steadfast in the faith…”

“We thrive in families.” God says to me all the time.
Sometimes, we may get hurt or have things happen to us that may weigh us down… leaving us weak and very vulnerable. The temptation here is to mostly draw back and withdraw from everyone, but what this does is to actually leave us more susceptible to the wiles of the enemy.

We resist the enemy by staying steadfast in the faith. We stay steadfast by committing to our convictions. We build convictions from the place of prayer and study of the Word - in twos, in threes, in countless numbers… gathering together and looking out for one another till we all come to the unity of the faith. This is how God looks out for each of us.

…
And if for any reason, you’ve been a victim of community hurts, pain or disappointments, here’s a reminder and an encouragement that one bad egg in a crate does not mean all the other eggs are bad. Find healing and strength again in God. Ask for His help and discernment in making the right choice and let Him guide you to the family He has created for you.
For:
👉🏼 He sets the solitary in families… Psalm 68:6
👉🏼 We are not of them that draw back unto perdition, but we keep believing… Hebrews 10:39.

…
Don’t stay away.
Find your family. Be rooted and flourish. 🌱

And so it begins.
Day 1/40. ✅ by @where_friendspray

So Maybe. Just maybe.

Many of us started the year with so much excitement and convictions but somehow have stumbled into the last part of the year feeling less interested and convinced of the things we started with….

Truth is, to maintain consistent convictions, the internal atmosphere of these convictions itself must be maintained.
“Where Friends Pray” is that family unit for the weary to be strengthened, and for the strong to be deepened.
.
Come, see what happens in the company of believing friends.
