HI, I’M CIARA 👋💙 (pronounced kee-rah 😉)

If you’re new here - welcome!! I’ve finally made an updated “introduce me” post after WAY too long…

I’m a Scottish gal living in Qatar, and now I share real, honest, authentic, and slightly chaotic everyday life here in Qatar!

On this page you’ll find:
✨ Tips for moving to Qatar
✨ Things to do in Doha from someone from someone who lives here and actually does the things 😂 (hidden gems, restaurants, cafés, beaches, etc.)
✨ Doha weekends, ladies’ nights, happy hours, brunches, and everything in between
✨ Real-life everyday life in Qatar
✨ Honest reviews and recommendations
✨ Occasional international trips because I quite literally can’t sit still

Whether you’re planning a layover in Doha, thinking about moving to Qatar, or already live in Doha and want ideas for where to eat, where to visit, or what’s happening around the city… you’re in the right place 🙋🏼‍♀️

I appreciate every single one of you!! Follow along and come say hi in the comments 💙 by @whereciaragoes

The attention to detail at this brunch 🥹🌿 | invited

📌 If you’re looking for a Saturday brunch in Doha that’s relaxed rather than rowdy, look no further !!

(Before we dive in, remember to follow @whereciaragoes for more things to do and places to eat in Doha, Qatar - I’ve lived here 6 years and try them all so you don’t have to 🤭!!)

🌱 The Torba Table Saturday brunch at Mila is a farm to table brunch made with produce from Torba Farm in Al Khor meaning so much of what’s on your plate was actually grown here in Qatar and I love that !!

(It’s also a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant, and honestly you can tell - the food is really great 🌟)

All the details 👇🏼:

📍 Mila, Rosewood Doha, Lusail
🗓 Saturdays, 1pm to 4pm
💰 QR320pp, optional drinks package including wine and cocktails for QR180
👧🏼 A nice family friendly brunch, with kids’ workshops and activities (but I promise you it’s not overrun with kids!)

Who are you bringing? Tag them below ⬇️

Stories saw it first 👁️👁️

But it was too good not to put it on the feed 😂

🌅 This sunset from @luxsouthari resort in Maldives was gorgeoussss - got THE shot from the hammock but not without a grace-less fight 💦😂

Incredible 🥹🩵✨

I don’t think any photo or video can prepare you for the first view of the Maldives from your seaplane !!

✈️ Our seaplane from Malé to our resort - Lux* South Ari Atoll @luxsouthari - took just 30 minutes and the views the whole way were unreal 🥹

If you live in Qatar and the Maldives isn’t on your list yet, this is your sign - it’s one of the easiest dreamy escapes from here 😍

Honeymoon edition 🍯🌙

In summary: ate and drank our weight in good food, good wine and champagne 😂

📍 We are staying at Lux* South Ari Atoll and on the premium all inclusive package @luxsouthari

✈️ Save this if Maldives is on your bucket list !!

No words 🥹🐋🐢🐬🩵

We did a snorkelling trip from @luxsouthari in the South Ari Atoll - one of the best spots in the Maldives for seeing whale sharks - and were lucky enough to spot whale sharks, AND manta rays, sea turtles and dolphins !!!

Swimming with whale sharks in the Maldives was high on our bucket list for this trip and so glad we found them 😍

What an amazing way to spend my birthday in the Maldives 🏝️

Champagne before breakfast is mandatory, I didn’t make the rules 🥂

A pretty dreamy birthday in paradise 🥥

We’re not usually the type to do all inclusive resort holidays but this has been a gorgeous wee honeymoon / bday treat so far !!
