Panorama Ridge overlooking the Garibaldi Lake 🩵

~spent the most energetic and beautiful time, frolicking through the meadows and scrambling up, in this iconic backyard just 1 hour from Vancouver

Mental notes for self:
~get lots of water and dry snacks 🧃
~carry a goddamn bug spray or they will eat you up 🦟
~respect the bear territory and carry a bear spray 🐻
~get a hiking pole for an easier descend
~carry a light jacket it’s so windy and cold up there 😭
~leave as early as possible if you’re planning to do it in a day. Hiking in the forest at night isn’t very pleasant. ☀️
~be prepared for the hike. plan it and train beforehand. and have funnnn 🤸🏻‍♀️

where hiking among the clouds took us! 🩵

~another beautiful 2.5 hours drive from Vancouver
~Joffre lakes is a 10 km round scenic hike and consists of 3 lakes where each lake brings you closer to the mountain.

I’m so glad we took this chance despite the weather forecast as it was already so hard to get the passes. The patience paid off.

a go to hike any season 💚
Tunnel Bluffs

~Almost 11.5 km out and back. You can catch amazing sunsets here and the hike is hardly 4.5 hours. 🚶‍♀️
~It’s transit accessible from Vancouver too. 🚌
~Overlooks the beautiful Howe Sound!
~Many trails start from the same ‘Sunset trailhead parking lot’
~The first 2KM are insanely steep but the rest of the trail is pretty chill. 🤩
~Carry lots of water and a bug spray! 💦
