Did you know there was a healing Spring in NC?💧

The springs go back as far as the 1830's which was previously called "Cold Springs Camp Ground" according the history pamphlet.
.
The springs are located on the grounds of Colds Springs United Methodist Church in Concord, NC - approximately a 45-minute drive from the South Charlotte area.
.
It's FREE! You can fill as many bottles as you can carry.
.
I've only visited during the weekdays & have been the only one there. Expect it to be busier on the weekends.
.
10/10 would recommend!

7 years ago....you shifted our lives in ways we could have never imagined. I've attempted getting this tattoo for years and this year - I finally made it beyond the tears...actually this year - no tears - PURE JOY!

I made this attempt every year unsuccessfully....FINALLY I have your exact signature close to my heart.

The Portugal Experience 🇵🇹

For $18, I had to try the codfish fritter with local port wine. The foodie in me couldn't resist.

The port wine was delicious, but the fritter itself was a little underwhelming for my taste. It wasn't bad—just felt like it needed a bit more flavor. Still, I'm always happy when I try something new and local.

Captivated by the architecture + laid back vibe of Porto Portugal. The perfect change of pace from Lisbon. Each location has its own unique vibe so I'm glad I took the early morning train to explore for the day.

First stop: Spain 🇪🇸

I planned a 12-hour Madrid layover very intentionally… to check off a bucket list moment. 2 countries - in a single trip.

Sooo...about that😐

9 hours later - I land exhausted, irritated + it’s cold and raining.

Delayed flight. Wrong drop-off. Closed restaurant. Second option stops serving what I came for.

At some point I just gave up the fight!

So I stopped forcing it & focused on what I could control....

And I still got Spain… just not the version I planned.

Sometimes that’s the real trip.

Travel tip ✈️:
Leave space in your plans — because sometimes travel will absolutely humble your itinerary.
