The streets of Imsouane felt quiet and authentic, carrying the relaxed rhythm of a small fishing and surf village. From surf houses and local surf shops to the small cafés clinging to the cliffs, everything felt deeply connected to the ocean. The streets led toward the swell, where daily life moved at an unhurried pace and the sea was never far from view.

C H A S I N G H O R I Z O N S

A chance meeting in a small local restaurant in Imsouane turned into something neither of us planned. A shared table, a brief conversation, and a spontaneous invitation to head up to the cliffs the following day.

Up above the Atlantic, the late afternoon wind rolled in off the ocean as we found a quiet edge above the surf. I ended up photographing a full-time vanlifer and his handcrafted rig. Jonas had built a beautiful home on wheels, weathered by roads, salt, and time. Resting against one of the most cinematic coastlines in Morocco.

As an editor of a magazine, he had spent the last three months in Morocco, working remotely while also helping stray dogs along the way, making sure they received the care they needed. Jonas was a calm and caring soul, and it was a pleasure to capture this moment for him.

Just his van, the ocean, the village below, and a stillness that only exists when everything aligns without planning.

The sea breeze swept across the cliffs above Imsouane as the late afternoon sun cast a warm glow across surfboards, murals, and the coastline beyond. Couples paused to take in the view, watching surfers trace lines across the Atlantic as it stretched endlessly along the coast.

Standing on the edge of Africa, the seascape felt both vast and peaceful. An uninterrupted meeting of ocean, cliffs, and sky that invited you to slow down and take it all in.

Tamraght moved with a warmth that was felt everywhere. Welcoming locals, laid-back conversations drifting through the streets, and passing cars slowing down with a smile or wave. There was a quiet openness to everyday life here, where friendliness felt natural, and the rhythm of the town invited you to slow down and be part of it.

Visiting this vibrant food spot felt like stepping into a slower, more nourishing rhythm of Tamraght. The menu is a celebration of feel-good food without sacrificing flavour. Vibrant smoothies and colourful vegan dishes are thoughtfully prepared with freshness and balance in mind.

The laid-back atmosphere, warm energy, and beautifully presented plates made photographing the space feel effortless. Natural textures, soft light, and earthy tones created a calm backdrop that allowed the food and atmosphere to speak for themselves. More than just a café, it felt like a place built around wellbeing, community, and mindful living.

If you find yourself in Tamraght, it’s a place worth lingering in, whether for a slow breakfast, post-surf coffee, or simply to soak in the good vibes of the space. 🤙🏼

Driven by a passion for coffee and travel, I stumbled across @vintage_coffee_car and his converted Peugeot 205 in central Tamraght. It felt like a glimpse into a different kind of future.

Seeing espresso served straight from a compact hatchback brought together my background in automotive design and speciality coffee into the growing world of mobile coffee culture. It’s a reminder that great coffee and adventure don’t need a massive setup. Just a smart use of space, a bit of grit, and a love for the open road.

A marine blue Landy rested above the beach, open to the Atlantic breeze, sun-worn tan leather carrying the patina of countless coastal miles. It felt less like a vehicle and more like an invitation to throw a surfboard in the back, follow the coastline, and disappear for a while. Maybe even stop along the way to serve coffee from the flatbed.

With a background in car design, I’m always drawn to the quiet honesty of these old vehicles that are woven into everyday life across Tamraght.

Visiting this thoughtfully curated store was such a special experience. Meeting the owner, and hearing about her passion project brought a real sense of warmth and authenticity to the space. Every piece felt intentional and curated with care. From handmade homewares sourced across Morocco to specialty coffee roasted in Marrakesh, adding another layer of local craftsmanship.

Spontaneously photographing the store was a joy, with its inviting layout and beautifully arranged objects. The neutral decor created a calm backdrop, allowing the textiles and ceramics to truly shine. If you find yourself in Tamraght, it’s a place well worth stepping into. You’ll be met with a warm welcome and plenty of inspiration.
