while visiting koh phangan, we stayed at @tikibeach.kohphangan & had the best time! it’s a beach front hostel, so incredibly gorgeous and the food was also AMAZING!! 🇹🇭🌺🌟🏝️

one of my favorite activities i did in thailand was this incredible cooking class with @proudhomecookingclass @wanderwhereadventures 🍽️🌺

the experience starts out by visiting a local outdoor market in thailand & learning all the different vegetables, spices, and other ingredients used to make thai dishes. then we started our cooking class & got to cut up, cook & create so many meals! we made such a wide variety thai dishes, from khao soi, red curry, papaya salad, pad kra pow, spring rolls & of course pad thai! 🥘🌟

i had the most amazing time with the sweetest chefs & this is definitely a must do experience when visiting thailand! 🇹🇭🩵

travel with me from koh tao to koh phangan🐢🌟🩵

using a ferry to island hop is essential & the main way to visit the beautiful islands of thailand!! 🇹🇭🏝️

we took the lomprayah ferry from koh tao to koh phangan ($19USD for one way ferry ticket) & it took 1hr total ⛴️⚓️

here are some tips: pack motion sickness meds & take 1-2hr before your ferry, try to sit on the top of the boat for fresh air, & check the weather to avoid sailing in stormy conditions with rough water🌊🐚

my experience flying @delta premium select from seattle → seoul ✈️ (flight 2 of 3 on the way to thailand 🥲)

this was my first time flying anything above basic economy internationally and i was pleasantly surprised — wider seats, more legroom, footrest, noise-canceling headphones, nonstop food + drinks, and super attentive flight attendants.

as i prepare to take my first trip of 2026, i have been reflecting on my first ever solo trip to guatemala 🇬🇹✨
 at 20, spending 2 weeks in central america in 2021 (prime pandemic era 😅) felt like a huge leap. i volunteered with @ivhq—teaching kids in antigua, taking spanish lessons, and calling the city my home away from home. i also got to experience the magic of lake atitlán with morning yoga 🧘🏽‍♀️🌄

this trip brought many firsts for me: first trip out of the country solo, zip lining, hiking a volcano 🌋, visiting a coffee farm, and grinding fresh beans ☕️

it’s crazy to think this trip started it all. i was so nervous to even suggest my first solo trip— guatemala was country #8, and now i’m up to 31 four years later (with another trip coming next week 🥹✈️)

never be afraid to take the leap on your first solo trip. you’ll learn so much about yourself & be glad you went🩵🌎 taken in Guatemala by @wheresjaytoday

planning a trip to Nicaragua? here are some of my must-do’s 🇳🇮✈️⬇️

ACTIVITIES: 🌋 Cerro Negro + Volcano Boarding: one of the top things to do in León and SUCH an adrenaline rush. the hike up has insane views, which makes sliding down even more exciting!
⛪ León Cathedral Rooftop: famous for its white domes and panoramic views over the city
💧 Laguna de Apoyo: a beautiful crater lake formed by a volcanic eruption thousands of years ago. it’s super peaceful and perfect for swimming or kayaking

WHERE TO EAT: ☕ Gaia Café – cozy outdoor spot with lots of greenery + great breakfast 🥣 Batidos Pitaya – fresh & delicious açaí bowls 🥞 The Garden Café – cozy vibes with lots of options (loved the pancakes!)
i got sick while in Nicaragua so i didn’t get to try as many places as planned — happy to share others i had saved if you’re interested :)

WHERE TO STAY: 🏨 León: i stayed at Hotel La Perla — beautiful rooms, super friendly staff, and very accommodating 🛏️ Granada: Hostel Oasis — very basic but great for meeting other solo travelers. i had my own room for $17/night (not fancy, but social!)

BEST VIEWS: ✨ Cerro Negro hike ✨ Gaia Café ✨ Laguna de Apoyo
