Biblical. Immense. I leave this dream with memories that I will always cherish. For those of you still waiting to see them live, you will not be disappointed. Soak it all in, live in the moment. 15 year old me has been healed. Thank you @oasis. #oasis #oasislive25 #concert #rosebowl #wheresjuvy taken in Rose Bowl Stadium by @wheresjuvy

PAU-HA-HANA Friday with J.J. Niebuhr
on 3rd Friday, October 16 at NEXT DOOR in Chinatown
Pau-HA-Hana Friday is a night of unfiltered and unscripted stories. This show throws real-life stories into the improv blender for a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience you won’t see anywhere else.

Every third Friday, a special guest storyteller is invited to spill their guts to inspire completely original, never-before-seen improvised scenes. This isn’t your average improv – it’s raw, it’s real, and it’s guaranteed to leave you in.

About our storyteller:

J.J. is the proprietor/pizza guy of Black Shamrock Tavern. Originally from Jersey City, New Jersey, J.J. was brought here by the United States Marine Corps in 1990. His wife Leslie is the reason he stayed. The OG Chinatown pizza guy, J.J. has been making pizza here in Hawaii for 32 years. He got his start with Boston Pizza in Kailua when they opened in 1994, and was a partner in Uncle Luigi‘s Famous Pizza at Kemo’o Farms in Wahiawa. In 1998, he began bartending at Murphy’s and started making bar pies on Friday nights until they sold out. In 2008 he opened J.J. Dolan’s with his then partner, Danny Dolan. He’s the J.J. in J.J. Dolan’s. J.J. left the partnership at the end of 2017. On June 1 of 2021 he purchased the former O’Tooles Irish pub, and reopened it on March 17 of 2022 as Black Shamrock Tavern.

What a lovely whimsical kind of day. Went to the Makers Market at Kakaako to meet up with @nktessier to trade HK toys. Across from PuaBlooms was @woofyboopy808 and probably the cutest thing I’ve ever gotten for @boomerstache. Thank you! I’ll post more pics. by @wheresjuvy

Was cleaning and found this throwback collage that @rmeede made for me before I flew off to college at BJU in Fall of 1999. What a nice throwback! @hanalanialumni by @wheresjuvy
