New birthday treasures called for a little shelf refresh ✨ This time I changed everything around for a fresh new start and filled the shelves with some of her favorite things along with a few new birthday gifts.While we were away celebrating, she was so busy playing with Moon the dog and Cloud the lamb that she barely even opened her presents 😅 The days after all she wanted to do was play outside, and most of the gifts just sat there waiting for her. But today was finally play day ☺️The first thing she did this morning was make a tiny little world for her gnomes with this play mat. It’s our first play mat and I honestly can’t believe we waited this long to get one. One of the best things I ever added to our home was this little writing corner ✨This is where Delila writes and illustrates her books. She absolutely loves telling stories and drawing maps for all of her little adventures.I keep her crayons, colored pencils, and paper here because those are the supplies she reaches for most while creating. Everything else, from schoolwork to bigger art projects, happens at the dining table, the heart of our home. This little desk is simply her imagination corner.Hanging above her desk are her monthly calendar, moon phase chart, and weekly rhythm board. Flipping the calendar each morning has been one of our little traditions since she was a toddler. Some days we forget, but we always come back to it.Having a predictable rhythm helps her feel more grounded because she knows what to expect, and the visual rhythm board has been such a wonderful tool for that.We also love learning about the moon together. The more we learn about its phases, the more we notice how beautifully they’re woven into the rhythms of nature🌜The little shelf above her desk is one of my favorite places to create tiny worlds for her. I love changing the artwork in the frames to reflect the seasons or whatever is inspiring us at the moment. Sunday morning quiet play. We are so grateful for slow mornings 🌈✨Delila has played with silks since she was a baby, and they have always been one of our favorite open ended toys. We love how many possibilities they offer for imaginative play. I also love using them on our nature table displays and to create the canopy hanging over our play kitchen.When @playsilkies chose me to be one of their reps, I was so excited because we have loved silks for years. The way the sunshine fills this little room makes me so happy☀️ I added our Alice in Wonderland set back to the shelves, and seeing it again made us smile. This set has been part of our home for almost four years now, and it still feels just as special. A little playroom moment✨I found this branch in our backyard and decided to bring it home. A little Father’s Day gift made with lots of love for a very special dad ❤️When I saw this beautiful idea from @heyjenbrannen I knew Delila and I would love making our own.We drew pictures on water-soluble stabilizer sheets and then embroidered them onto a hat.
