✨ reading update ✨

I've met my reading goal for the year as I'm getting back into reading more regularly! I'm still making my way through Thistlemarsh and enjoying it as I'm getting back into a more regular routine after a crazy week of work.

Have y'all met your reading goals for the year? What was your first, most recent, and current reads? Let me know in the comments!

✨ 4x4 bookish challenge ✨
•
•
Thank you @the.phd.files for tagging me in this challenge recently! I'm now caught up on all the challenges I've been tagged for in the last month.

My big event for work is done so I'm hoping I can settle this weekend to read some more of Thistlemarsh and start engaging more on here!

✨ something book challenge ✨
•
•
Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue! I was tagged by @the.luna.library to do this challenge (I know it's so late, I'm sorry 🫣😭)

I had fun browsing through my shelves to put these together and really think on some of these. I've had such a busy week with work and literally have not read at all.

However, the weather is turning and getting cooler (my husband is LOVING it) - is it getting any cooler where y'all are at? I hope y'all are enjoying some cozy reads... know I'm living vicariously through all of you right now 😭

✨ bookshelf scavenger hunt tag ✨
•
•
I was challenged by @xoxo_madivano to do this scavenger hunt (I know it's super late but I'm trying to catch up on all the challenges I was tagged in this week 😭)

I now challenge @lex.and.lore (but no pressure if you don't want to!)

✨ October TBR Correction ✨
•
•
After these first couple weeks of the month, I've been reminded how BUSY the fall season is for me. After thinking about it , I've decided to put Divine Rivals on the shelf and just dive into Rachel Gillig (I'm giving in to the hype 🫣).

I honestly think I'm going to hold off on reading Divine Rivals until I can get my hands on the LitJoy special edition set that's coming out - I love reading author annotations and then I'll have plenty of space between the rest of her bibliography so I'll have fresh eyes!

✨ my ten before the end ✨
•
•
I hope to accomplish reading this much by the end of the year! Once I'm wrapped up with Rebecca Ross I'd like to dive into Rachel Gillig and then go back and reread a classic for myself.

I'm loving Thistlemarsh so far and I can't wait to give y'all my thoughts!! I hope everyone is also enjoying their current reads & tell me your ten before the end!!

✨ in case you were wondering ✨
•
•
Saw this trend coming over to bookstagram and wanted to join in on the fun! I started Thistlemarsh and OMG it is so good so far. Hooked on literally the first page.

I don't think I'll end up posting every day this week as there is just so much going on and I wasn't able to prep over the weekend like I normally do. Hopefully next week will be more consistent - though there's some big stuff happening at work as well!

✨ my current read ✨
•
•
I'm taking a little break from Rebecca Ross at the moment and diving into this standalone! I've been feeling like I need more faeries in my life and I've seen this recommended a ton and the cover has really called to me. So I caved and got it!

I'm super excited to dive into this one and share my thoughts as I get wrapped up with it. It's been a busy few weeks and unfortunately it'll be busy through the rest of the year - fall is always so booked up! (pun intended 😝)

I hope y'all have a good Monday and let me know what y'all are reading right now!

✨ loot I'd drop ✨
•
•
I'm a little late to this trend but I still wanted to share! I'd definitely also be dropping some press-ons and jewelry. Fun fact: my husband got me the Molly & Mully Valentine's day mushrooms on eBay when I couldn't find them in store and I cried 😭

Would you also drop any of these? Or would you pick it up?

✨ October Anticipated Releases ✨
•
•
I'm looking forward to just a few of the releases coming out this month. Under The Iron Sky and Our Dark Incantations are ones I've been waiting for! I can't wait to get Wondrous and add it to my Alice In Wonderland inspired shelf. I'm also excited for the print version of Bound/Unbound by Ali Hazelwood!

What is your most anticipated release in October?

✨ September Wrap Up & October Hopefuls ✨
•
•
I read more in September than I anticipated!! I'm grateful I was able to reach my yearly goal - though now that I have I'm a little worried I'm hitting a slump and losing my motivation.

My hope for October is to read a standalone and then finish up Rebecca Ross's books before I move on to Rachel Gillig! I'd also like to say sorry for being so inactive (just posting and not interacting a whole lot) I've started a new medication and it's really kicking my butt 😭
