Who won this father and son race? 💨

Built for speeds up to 35 mph, Bolt and Jet raced back and forth with plenty of playful nips, neither willing to concede. By the end, the thrill of the chase had given way to bared teeth and a little too much competitive spirit.

The finish line was never the problem. Agreeing on a winner was. 😂

A little grayer, a little slower, but still our Dash. 🤍

After few months away, we’re back with the boy so many of you have been asking about.

Dash is slowing down and sometimes unsteady on his feet, but he seems as happy as ever. With his heart condition, every moment together is especially precious.

Swipe to see him at just nine weeks old—the face that started a lifetime of love.

Thank you for checking on Dash and keeping him in your hearts.

What would you say to Dash if you could give him a hug today?

LEASHED CULTURE

Some wonderful art for Dad inside the David Geffen Galleries.

A little patience from the pack outside.

Then back to what they really came for: exploring the LACMA grounds like they owned the place.

Would your dogs wait patiently outside… or stage a protest?

Flashback: Life is one big adventure.

I don’t know how much time Dash has left with us, but Antelope Canyon reminded me that life is one big adventure, and the best memories are made with the ones we love by our side, both human and four-legged.

What’s one adventure you’ll never forget with your dog?

Obedience Test: Everyone Did Great… and Then Jet Made It About Jet.

One by one, Jet, Bolt, and Dash were called by name, asked to come down the hallway… and then told to stay.

Everyone understood the assignment.
Everyone showed admirable restraint.
And then Jet, naturally, felt the moment needed a little more Jet.

Still, three very good boys showing off some impressive discipline.

Good boys. Every single one of them. 🐶🐶🐶

🎉 Eight Years of Bolt. 🎉

These two photos were taken seven years apart, and somehow I still see the same sweet soul looking back at me.

The years went by in a blur, from that young, wide-eyed boy to the gentle and wise he is today. His face may have more silver now, but his heart is exactly the same: devoted, sensitive, loving, and impossible not to adore.

Today, Bolt turns eight. And I’m reminded once again that time with dogs is never long enough, but every single year is a gift. 🎁

Happy birthday, my beautiful boy. You have made these years unforgettable.

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR HUMAN.

Today’s lesson: how to turn eye contact, guilt, and one dramatic paw wave into treats.
Bolt has perfected the method. The humans never stood a chance.

We Got the News We Dreaded. 💔

After Dash’s vet visit, we got the news no dog parent ever wants to hear: he has congestive heart failure.

We can’t change the diagnosis, so we’re choosing what we can: nature, fresh air, slower walks, quiet moments, and all the love Dash’s heart can hold.

He may not always keep up with Bolt and Jet the way he used to, but he is still happy, present, and finding joy in the moments he loves most.

What matters now is not the number of months left, but the quality of life in each day.

And we are going to make every day count.

🤍 For those who have walked this road with a beloved dog, what helped you make their days feel full, happy, and loved?

WHERE THE WALK BECOMES A QUIET ADVENTURE 🪶

There’s something grounding about walking Bolt and Jet through places like the Andrée Clark Bird Refuge, surrounded by Black-crowned Night-Herons and California Scrub-Jays, reeds, water, and all the quiet moments of nature’s beauty.

For the dogs, it’s enrichment: new scents, sounds and calm observation.
For me, it’s a reminder to slow down.

A walk becomes more than exercise. It becomes a quiet adventure.
