“Withered is Now Streaming” is a sentence I still kinda can’t believe. A little movie I shot back in 2023 with a handful of my friends and my sisters is now on giant streaming platforms..! I’m truly and incredibly appreciative to everyone’s who’s supported me and this film over the past two years! And of course, it was an absolute honor to don the eyepatch and reprise ol’ Bigby Gravsley once again for a short while. My depth perception is never gonna be the same.Withered was always about CHANGE. Life changing, people changing, how we deal with change itself and the things in life we can’t control. Change is a part of life, it’s what makes it interesting and worth living. Making this movie helped cement that idea even more in my head. Shooting just months after our college graduation, this production itself was a precursor to our own lives changing as we officially entered the world as post grads. And now, two years later as this movie finally releases, I am once again preparing for and reeling from recent changes. But so is life. No way to predict the future or any incoming punches, all you can do is roll with them. My pal Azalea O’Rion showed me that.I’d like to shoutout a few specific people who did incredible work on this movie;@bojiggily absolutely killed it with the sound design. This was the first thing Erick ever sound designed for me and I couldn’t be happier!@life_of_chun is the man and lens behind our incredible posters and headshots!@naomimelville lent us her beautiful voice and song “You’re The Villain” in the movie and it works perfectly.@_alexshaw_ and @alyssa_heyer blew it out of the park with their amazing work on “The Lost Song (Azalea’s Version)” Find myself rewatching the end credits just to listen to it.@ianmelamed for taking the bull by its horns, convincing me, then pushing this movie through the distribution process. Thanks for pushing me to reach farther.And finally, it would truly mean the world if you’d go check out Withered on Prime Video and Google Play.
