Also while on the Whiskey Quest side quest cruise, on the Key West stop, dropped in the oldest bar in Florida, Capt. Tony's Saloon! Cool small pub vibe with sme interesting decor... 😀 This place has some Ernest Hemingway history as well!! Not much of a whiskey selection ( I had a Woodford Reserve), but a cool place with a cool atmosphere and history!

A preview pour, great company, and a signed barrel stave for the Whiskey Dungeon!

Eric and I headed to Plano, Texas, for the Ironroot / Saints Alley Preview Party and Tasting—and got a sneak peek at the soon-to-be-released Saints Alley Herald 10 Year Cigar Blend 2026 Edition!

It was great catching up with Chris Trevino (Liquor Hound), Jonathan Likarish, and Marcia Likarish—the Mother of Texas Whiskey. Great people making great whiskey!

And that Herald? AWESOME! This is one we’re excited about, folks.

Release day is October 10 at the distillery in Denison, Texas. Jonathan also mentioned a “pour your own bottle” offering that same day—another reason to make the trip!

We brought home an Ironroot barrel stave signed by Chris, Jonathan, and Marcia. A little piece of Texas whiskey history for the Whiskey Dungeon—and a great reminder of a fun day together.
