Try this:

60 SECOND CHECK IN

Put your hand on your chest.

Take one slow breath.

Then ask yourself:

What am I actually feeling?

Not what you should be feeling.

Not what would make everyone else comfortable.

What am I feeling?

Then ask:

What happened that made me feel this way?

And finally:

What do I need right now?

Maybe the answer is space.

Maybe it’s reassurance.

Maybe it’s a boundary.

Maybe it’s a good cry.

Maybe it’s sleep.

Maybe you need to finally admit:

“This shit hurt me.”

You don’t have to shame yourself for reaching your limit.

Sometimes your breaking point is your nervous system asking you to stop abandoning yourself.

You’re not crazy.

You’re human.

And you deserve to listen to yourself. by @whisperingom
