“Home” for me is a place where you feel loved and supported by a community. Being so deeply showered with love was such an overwhelming and grateful feeling…to know our future son already has this support system is so beautiful.

But home isn’t only my hometown. Home is also the love from good friends who have become family. Home has been an interesting word for me to navigate these days… my home feels like Kentucky, LA, and Chile all combined into one. You find family in each place, and pieces of your heart stay there forever.

The longer I grow this baby, the more I’m learning that my new home will be wherever he is. A love I’ve never experienced before, and one I’m very excited to discover come September. 🤍 by @whit227

Life is pretty wild, but what I’ve learned is you have an option to look at the glass half full or half empty. By the time I’m back in Chile, it’ll have been 4 months that José and I have been apart (with a trip to Peru to break up the time to see one another). This time separated was not in our plan and it was hard to accept in the beginning. But then once you lean into life’s plan and stop trying to push yours, you find the beauty in it all. Without this change of course we wouldn’t have indulged on a week long trip to Peru. We had the opportunity to explore a new place together, disconnect from our daily routines and reconnect with one another. A perfect week of nature, surf and good food. taken in Máncora by @whit227
