I REMEMBER AS
A CHILD, raking the dry leaves on
the lawn from our tree every Fall…
We had fun, and got to jump on them, releasing the best crunchy
noises…🍁🍁🍁
At our home, now, that we have lived for almost 40 years, we have
a massive Magnolia tree that takes up a huge space on our corner home… This tree has beautiful large white flowers and green leaves
that are used often in holiday
decor, of which our neighbors have
enjoyed…😊
Further down the lot is a naval orange tree. I planted it in 1988,
for my husband who loved oranges after a particularly hard run…
It was for his first Father’s Day at our home, and it took me 4 and a half hours to plant it in the ground…😲 It was my first and last job as a
landscaper!😂
Many people have been blessed by these sweet oranges, those we gave to, and those who helped themselves. One day, a man knocked on the door and asked If he could take some… Then he asked if we had a bag!😂🍊🍊🍊
Being on a long corner lot seems to be public property, and we were glad to share our bounty…
Fun to relive a few memories of how nature has blessed us all these years through the different
seasons.🍁🍁🍁🍊🍊🍊
Now with our hydrangeas, it has been a different story!🤨😉 by @whitecottageblues

I DONT KNOW
About you, but it seems our bedroom is the last one
to ease into new times of
the year… Usually I’m happy
that all the clothes have been
hung up!😉
There are moments when I reflect
on how much I used to accomplish
with a busy family, and still push
through styling each room! In my
day, I Karate chopped many pillows to give them the Pottery Barn look, and now they are left to form their own lived in look…😂
With Bill and I hanging out
with our senior dogs, they
don’t seem to care how things
look…🐶🐶 But they sure scramble
to dive into the fresh quilts I put out…
When you get down to basics,
every one wants to be in a
cozy environment…🥰
I have slowly learned that growing
up is sometimes having to let go,
and what you accomplish each day is enough… but I still have a few
Karate chops left in me!🥰 by @whitecottageblues

THIS KING SIZE
navy and white plaid blanket, reminds me that September is
about to change our calendars!
Most of the time I like our white,
wooden dining table from @potterybarn cleared off and crisp.
I prefer quilts, blankets, and unusual
fabrics as compared to tablecloths…
It’s just a me thang!💙😊 by @whitecottageblues

SOMETIMES,
It is the nooks and crannies that
give a home its personality…
A finish carpenter built our small
home with some lovely details-
built-in bookshelves, thick, wide
wooden beadboard surrounding
the fireplace wall, and a lovely
window seat in our bedroom…
These and other features have
always made our home feel cozy
all year long…💙 by @whitecottageblues
