The best roads don’t promise clear skies.

Driving to work one morning, the sun was rising while storm clouds gathered on the horizon. It made me think…

Sometimes the storm is building within us. Sometimes it’s the chaos gathering around us. Either way, storms have a purpose.

They strip away what no longer serves us. They clear the air. They make room for growth.

And sometimes… YOU are the storm that clears the way.

No matter what season you’re walking through, never forget this: the sun has never failed to rise after the darkest skies.

After witnessing a motorcycle accident that shook me to my core, I never imagined I’d willingly climb onto the back of a bike again.

But this weekend, at a family reunion, I did.

No helmet. No jeans. Just a whole lot of trust in my uncle.

As a veteran, he’s spent a lifetime taking care of others, and there are very few people I’d trust enough to hand over my fear and say, “Okay, let’s go.”

The moment that bike started rolling, something shifted. The wind, the open road, the freedom… it did something for my soul.

What made it even more special was watching my cousin teach his wife to ride. Before long, she was driving while he rode on the back, trusting her completely. She looked tiny on that trike but rode it like an absolute badass.

Watching them wasn’t just cool—it was beautiful.

The way he encouraged her.
The way she believed she could do it.
The way he trusted her with his life.
The way she trusted herself because he believed in her first.

That’s the kind of partnership everyone deserves.

And somehow, on a day when I happened to be wearing my “Ride out of Darkness” shirt, a ride that started with fear became one I’ll remember forever.

Some moments aren’t about the destination and some rides change more than your scenery.

They’re about healing parts of yourself you didn’t realize were still hurting or stuck in the past. This is a ride I will never forget! 🖤🏍️

Solo road trips with your dog should be prescribed by therapists. Miles of open road, no expectations, no distractions—just peace, perspective, and the best co-pilot a girl could ask for. 🐾✨

I love watching the landscape slowly transform outside the window and get lost in the possibilities of how these small towns form along the way. I wonder about the strangers passing by—their destinations, their stories, their reasons for traveling. For a few hours, our paths cross, and then we continue on our separate journeys. There’s something incredibly peaceful about that. ❤️🌄

When you have a wandering mind you need hours on an open road to let those thoughts wander.
