life’s too short… take the photos!📸

Guys I swear, time FLIES by anymore. Anyone else miss being a kid and how it felt like time went by sooo slow!?

But this beach session- with the birds, running around and cartwheeling and playing tag was so nostalgic. It was a pleasure to capture these cuties love for one another. 🤍✨

Life is too short to only save photos for the big special occasions- this moment in life is special. LIFE is special. So let’s capture it, however is best fitting to you on your journey in this crazy life. 🙃

love along DC streets

The most dreamy DC elopement! 🤍 Being Katie + Brian’s third wheel around Washington DC made for one of the best days. And even though our original location plan fell through, I think we KILLED IT with plan B.

Forever and always obsessed with elopements. So intimate, fun, intentional, and stunning. 🫶🏼

emotion filled ceremony

Although the ceremony was moved indoors due to the storm, they brought the lighthouse in with them and had the most beautifully elegant ceremony at The Sanderling.

The tears, the first kiss twirl, the colors of film… so beautiful.

meant to be, will be.

This stunning Outer Banks elopement is a perfect example of what is meant to be will be.

Their celebration was supposed to be at the Bodie Island Lighthouse but due to weather our plans changed. We pivoted to celebrating at the Sanderling and it was a dream. The weather even gave us some pockets for portraits outside, it turned out perfect.

Another note, finding vendors who are able and willing to pivot last minute is worth its weight in gold. I was SO excited to be apart of this special day, and no bad weather was going to change that!

sentimental moments

Bianca and Josh pictured their wedding in this backyard when they first bought the house… and it was a vision out of a dream for sure.

I’ve been striving to have a “key word” for myself going into weddings. A word that perfectly sums up my character that I can channel into my work and I came up with ‘sentimental’.

- the moments of friends and family enjoying the celebration in the yard of their first home together

- bringing in pizza trucks so everyone could mingle and spend more time together

- her brother crying during their first look

- recreating a getting ready photo that her mom did at her wedding

- having an oyster station with Oysters from Josh’s farm

- a shot of her dad walking her down the isle where you can see moms emotional reaction

- sister surprising everyone with fireball shots after her speech

- the in-between family photos filled with hugs

- the pure joy and excitement of everyone being together and celebrating such a special love

The perfect day. One I will never forget.
