Funny Story by Emily Henry ✨

Finishing off with the last of my binds from the Emily Henry series. Idea was to showcase contemporary romance novels against the backdrop of an oil painting with the central theme being fruit mentioned in the story.

Art work is from the public domain - Red Cherries (1866) by Robert Spear Dunning

Book Lovers by Emily Henry ✨

After a much long sabbatical, sharing this bind I made for a dear friend. We had the idea of rebinding this contemporary romance novel against the backdrop of an oil painting with the central theme being fruit mentioned in the story. It was my first time using printable canvas (which I definitely prefer over bookcloth) and I love how it turned out!

Art work is from the public domain - Lemons (1884) by George Henry Hall.

Mariel of Redwall by Brian Jaques✨

This is my contribution for the #MossFlowerExchange hosted by @ferns.and.fables 💜

This was a super fun exchange and really allowed me to tap into my creative side. The idea was to create a cover inspired by the MinaLima classics and stick to the color of the original mass paperback versions of the Redwall book we chose to rebound. We were also to sew our own end bands which was a first for me! I still have much learning to do when it comes to end bands, but I am so pleased with how they turned out!

The bind was also my first time printing on suede book cloth, which was a huge learning curve. I really wanted to match the color of the cover as close as possible to the cover of the original paperback so printed book cloth was the way I chose to go. It was also important to me to keep as many details of the Mossflower woods on the cover as possible so I tried out printable vinyl for the first time and had my Cricut cut out the cover design. After multiple failed attempts I was finally able to achieve the cover I had envisioned. ☺️

Thank you Bambi for hosting this fun exchange 💜

A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle L. Jensen ✨

This was a very special and meaningful rebind commission. This person’s family has viking history and she chose four custom runes to incorporate into the cover design which also happens to be her favorite book of all time.

I was in a bit of a bookbinding rut when this rebind came along. It reminded me how much I love this hobby.

Ps. I learned after posting that I made a typo on the authors last name. Need to have a better eye next time!

Rebind of Fourth Wing by @rebeccayarros ✨

I didn’t realize my camera wasn’t recording for majority of the making process of this bind. Hence, I hope you all enjoy some clips of me just weeding away some scales ☺️

This book was rebound as a part of my first giveaway. I loved making this book so much as I bound it after reading this book for the first time and what a ride it’s been! I am almost done with Onyx Storm and not ready for my heart to be broken 🥲
