Ready to start handing these over. Bag packed, first one’s already earmarked for someone who’s been waiting on it. Tomorrow it’s out of my hands and into everyone else’s.

Everything gets broken down today… out of the crates, split into smaller packages, sorted into what fits in a bag. By tonight there’s nothing left that looks like a shipment. Just packs, ready to hit the streets.

Didn’t go home. Drove straight to the drop point, the spot we’d planned this around from the start. Set the package down, didn’t linger. From here it’s not mine to carry anymore

The door opened this morning. Nobody stopped me on the way out no explanation given, none asked for. I stood outside for a minute before I did anything else. Then I put my hand flat against the nearest wall, just to feel something solid again.

Spent the night going over the route again, where it came from, where it was headed, who signed off on what. Not planning an escape. Just making sure the story holds, because it’s the only one there is.

No windows in here. No clock. Just marks on the wall, counting days instead of hours. Ten. Nine. Eight. I stopped explaining myself around day seven. Some things you just wait out.

One light. A chair on either end of the table. “Where’s the rest of it going,” they asked, over and over. I gave them the same answer every time. There is no rest of it. They didn’t believe me. Doesn’t change what’s true.

Six hours out and customs pulled us. Random check, they said. I watched a gloved hand cut the tape on crate one and freeze. A room full of white powder, sealed in bags, and nobody breathing for a second. Then one of them touched two fingers to it. Brought it to his tongue. Chalk. Actual chalk. He laughed. Wrote “cleared” on the form. We’re still moving. It was never anything but exactly what it looks like.
