Today I officially go on maternity leave, and as I close this chapter (for now), I’ve been reflecting on just how special my time at Lioness has been.

It’s honestly been an absolute honour to work for this place during one of the biggest seasons of my life — growing our second little boy while also getting to be surrounded by women who are constantly choosing to become stronger, braver and more confident versions of themselves.

I came to Lioness to work, but I’ve walked away with so much more than that. I’ve watched women walk through the doors unsure of themselves and slowly find their strength. I’ve celebrated big wins, tiny wins, first sessions, heavier lifts, returned confidence and all the moments in between. And I’ve been lucky enough to be part of a community that genuinely believes women are capable of more than they often give themselves credit for.

And selfishly, I’m so grateful that I got to experience all of this while pregnant myself. There’s something pretty special about helping other women believe in what their bodies can do while watching your own body change, stretch and grow a whole human.

Lioness has been such a beautiful part of my pregnancy journey, and I’ll never forget being able to work, move, laugh, learn and grow alongside this community right up until the very end.

To the Lioness team — thank you for trusting me, supporting me and allowing me to be part of something that means so much to so many women.

And to every woman I’ve spoken to, checked in on, encouraged, laughed with or watched absolutely smash a goal — thank you. You’ve made this season incredibly special.

For now, I’m swapping the Lioness leads, classes and conversations for hospital bags, newborn cuddles and becoming a mum of two boys.

I’m going to miss this place more than I can probably put into words.

Pregnancy has changed the way I train, but it hasn’t taken away my ability to be strong. If anything, it’s taught me how to train smarter, listen to my body, and appreciate what my body can still do. ❤️

Note: I know every pregnancy is different so I’m def not saying everyone has to do this way. My last pregnancy wasn’t like this either! Mad respect to everyone pregnant out there! Listen to your body and do what feels right to you! by @whitmken
