meggy is all things good in this world !! we have been through allll stages of life together, and yet - this is my favorite! 🥹 my bestie in Christ, my rock through grief, my adhd hobby buddy, my errands sidekick, my concert girly, my foodie friend, & so much more. Kasen is constantly asking me “what could you and Megan possibly be talking about right now”, since we text non stop every day 🤣🤣

one month without you. one month of trying to explain to your brother why you aren’t coming home. one month of your newborn diapers sitting in the basket on your dresser where I left them before we went to the hospital. one month of “I’m sorry, we did everything we could” replaying a million times a day in my head. one month of literally forcing myself to get out of bed everyday.
even though these have been the hardest days of my entire life- they have also been filled with unimaginable blessings.
one month of spending much needed quality time with my family. one month of visiting with friends that I haven’t talked to in years. one month of trusting & leaning on god more than I ever have in my life. one month of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever witnessed. one month of nutritious hot meals from our neighbors every single night. one month of my body healing & getting stronger.
the love we have received from our families, friends, & complete strangers has kept us going. the “thinking of you” texts, receiving sunset pictures every night from all different states, friends visiting her grave, & so much more has been our light in the darkness.
It’s an interesting feeling to feel so empty with her gone, yet also so full of love from all my angels that walk this earth.

June 24th @ 37 weeks I was diagnosed with preeclampsia & told to go to the hospital for an induction. The nerves were high, but we were SO ready to welcome our baby girl. The induction process for my VBAC was smooth and fast, but as I hit 10cm and was ready to push- our lives changed forever. My uterus ruptured and placenta “exploded”- causing our sweet baby girl to be delivered into my abdominal cavity. She was without oxygen for too long before they were able to get her out in an emergency c-section. Our sweet baby girl did not make it. She fought hard for over an hour. Kasen was able to hold her during her last heartbeats. Kasen had to make a decision no parent should ever have to make, especially on his own. The last 16 days since we lost our Kovee has been a complete whirlwind. It’s been a nightmare I still hope to wake up from every single morning, just praying she is still safe in my belly.
Yesterday, we laid our sweet Kovee girl to rest on her due date July 10th. Kasen and I agreed it was the most peace we have felt since she’s passed. It was a perfect day filled with SO many blessings and SO much love.🦋 We were overwhelmed with the amount of support we received at her service. The funeral director told us he hadn’t seen that many attendees in years.
We will never be able to thank all of you enough for showing up for us in all different ways these last couple of weeks. A few special thank you’s to my brother for arranging all the services with the funeral home, our parents who have quite literally held us together and planned every piece of the perfect day yesterday, everyone who spent hours at the hospital sitting with us, our sweet neighbor Zoë for arranging meals for us and helping with anything at the drop of a hat, everyone that watched krew for us so we could rest or visit Kovee at the funeral home, and so so many others that have shown up for us in ways I never thought possible.
We are absolutely devastated to have to live this life without our sweet girl. But we know we will get through this with the support system we have, and the Lord walking with us through it. We love you forever Kovee girl. We can’t wait to hold you again someday. 🪽🤍 by @whitneykjohnson_
