☀️ Our sunshine girl is ONE ☀️

One year of watching our girl grow from a tiny babe into a tiny human. One year of giggles, and mischief, and snuggles, and her tiny hand reaching for mine. One year of giving my body to grow and sustain hers. One year of joy and love in its purest form.

It’s pretty hard to sum up the last 5.5 years into just a few of these tiny squares. So here’s my best attempt. 🫠 Closing this chapter of life was probably the scariest thing we’ve done, but we are unbelievably excited for all the things Central Oregon has for us. 2024 - the year that gave us Juniper. 💕

I have all the thoughts, but simultaneously very few words to describe the past year. But here’s where I’ve landed:

This was the year I discovered my strength. Strength to grow new life and bring it into the world. Strength to slow down and embrace the present. And the strength in vulnerability, letting our village support and carry us throughout a season of change.

I’m thankful for a lot of things; for my sweet husband and the village of people around us, near and far. But I’m especially thankful for this new version of myself that I became in 2024, all because of our little sunshine girl. ☀️ by @whitneymatthews_
