⚡️✨🥳I can’t wait to get back on board!🥳✨⚡️

I think I’ll be getting back on sooner than I thought, which I am absolutely buzzing about 😁😁!

We have a dressage competition at our yard early November so I think I’ll aim for that as our first comp back and then lots of local venues have arena eventing- which is calling my name 🥳!

Wondering if I’ll have lost a bit of confidence jumping but we shall see. Slow n steady 💪

Sezzy looking fabulous & still moving beautifully on @hestevard_equine Bozmerix crunch tabs ( honestly those little rings of goodness have been a god send this summer 🙌🏻!! - you can try them out with my code Whizzy10

⚡️✨1st week of motherhood- here’s what I’ve learned✨⚡️

This one’s for the girls on the fence about a new chapter with a mini me.

I think anyone who owns a horse, dog, cat is already a mum without knowing it.

Puppy? You adapt to waking up earlier, feeding, potty training, TLC
Soothing to sleep sometimes.

Horse- You again, cater for all its needs. If it’s ill/ injured you go through step by step what it could be. Tack, vet, farrier,- Same as baby does it want food, nappy , comfort, gas?

Sleep- people will tell you, you’ll never sleep again. Bullshit 💩 - you will, but it will be broken sleep and you may feel like you haven’t slept. But you do get sleep. It’s just not the same.

You mourn your old life, but embrace the new one! Cause the snuggles & love for your mini me are well worth it.

But it 1000% matters who you have a kid with- for me anyway.
Because Cal has been a god send and I couldn’t do it without him.

As for support on this weird wonderful instagram horsey family we have- there’s a whole army of incredible equestrian mums who are always there to offer help support or just someone to talk too 💭 💕

It’s still very early days, but these are my thoughts so far.

⚡️✨🌸💕I NEVER expected this reaction from Seren 🥺💕🌸✨⚡️

A really special moment for me as a new mum that my little baby met my real human baby.

Sezzy was so inquisitive and sweet, she knew little Pop’s was mine. When I tell you I sobbed, I sobbed ( hormone crash) and just missed my pony.

A special memory for life 💕

⚡️✨The best memories ✨⚡️

Love looking back at old videos, when I was much more carefree and Seren wasn’t quite as wild 🙈

⚡️✨💕Happy due date - and of course she will be fashionably late💕✨⚡️

I mean I never stood a chance of my child being on time did I? I’ve got the worst time keeping skills known to man 🤣!

Swipe to see what we were doing around this date in 2021 - god I miss this days & hope I can get my bravery or maybe stupidity back? - one day🤣🤣

Soz sezzy just jump this massive hedge and 5 bar gate for me. Though she deffo was not as wild back then.

All photos by my incredibly talented friend @marthalilyt
@marthalilyphotog @marthalilyevents ( the ones from 2021 - Martha thought I was 16 not nearly 30🤣) LOL

⚡️✨❄️🍁I SWEAR by these for those dreaded months 👀❄️🍁✨⚡️

Yes some of the brands I am going to mention I am affiliated with and have been gifted these / ambassador. But I wouldn’t recommend anything I genuinely don’t use or appreciate so here goes! ….

AD|
✨@mackeyireland
- Liffey dry rug - best affordable drying rug there is👏!
-Wicklow Turn out rugs- amazing quality, secure, cosy, different weights, the HOOD is perfect to not ruin manes!
- The blouson coat- I genuinely live in- I over heat if I’m in too heavier coat- this is the perfect mix to have layers underneath. So comfy, smart looking & perfect all year round coat!
-Over reach boots- find me some with better Velcro I dare you 🤣! - these bad boys do not come off & are my turnout / ridden essential!
-✨The Velcro sparkly brow-bands✨ in all different colours- I flipping love a sparkly bit of tack and no one’s going to stop me 🤷🏼‍♀️ . Also easy changeable so why have just one colour -I’ve ’got the lot 😉🤭’ oh and super affordable too!!
✨@greenmilebedding - Used this for years now, cushions her feeties, keeps them clean, non clingy to tail, eco friendly, fab bedding that is super super absorbent!
✨@haygainuk - The forager has been an absolute game changer for me this past winter. I was honestly getting depressed over seren’s bed because of hay wastage and mess. No issues now 🙌🏻. She’s put on condition because of this too!
✨@bigboyz.horse.treats - Seren’s favourite treats of all time, loads of flavours, loads in a pack that lasts for ages - so affordable and healthy too!!. - Whizzy10 gets you 3 bags for £23 atm -so go get stocked up 😉
✨@hestevard_equine - Bozmerix and Pectigus balancer- honestly have been a game changer for seren since her ailments & diagnosis of pastern OA. She’s a much happier , free moving horse 💃 🪩 !

Last page has all the reasons why I love the things he bought 🙌🏻.

Lemme know what your essentials are & what brands to use! Always up for some ‘retail’ advice 🤭.

⚡️✨Feeling left behind too? ✨⚡️

Just a friendly reminder to myself & maybe you.

Life isn’t a race, especially with horses. Someone might be jumping higher than you, someone might be scoring higher than you. Someone might be progressing faster than you.
You might still be competing at the same level you have done for the last 6 years ( cough cough me)
You might be at a different phase or chapter in your life. But there’s nothing to catch up too 🤷🏼‍♀️ - Life is what you make it 🥰.

Now I’ll try and remember to practice what I preach because feeling left behind & ‘stagnant’ is so hard 🤣!! I want this baby OUTTTT
