I applied to one college as a joke in high school and got rejected. I laughed it off and went straight into the work force making minimum wage. Man I was so fucking scared, I tried not to show it but I was lost. I didn’t have my dad telling me my next steps so I genuinely didn’t know what to do. I watched as everyone I knew started their lives in college and I came home every night wishing I was someone else, somewhere else. By the grace of god a year later I got an opportunity I could never of dreamed of to attend a college and take a shot at a higher education on scholarship. Words will never be able to describe how grateful I am for BSC, they took a chance on me and gave me the best friends I could have asked for and the best education I could ask for. BSC somehow made me enjoy learning and teached me new ways to approach problems, people and even myself. I told my sister a couple of days ago that I was sad because Dad never knew I went to college, but the more I thought about it, It feels like he’s the one that pulled the strings all along. BSC I love you dearly, and thank you. Forward Ever 🖤💛 taken in Birmingham-Southern College by @whoisgeorgeterry
