No, you're not.

I know where I stand. Just another person, living a small regular life. There is nothing amazing or significant of me being here, eventually I will fade away and be forgotten. I try to think of people whom I have made an impact on, and I think of no one, and I assume it is the same the other way round. There will always be a million stars above me, always brighter than me, always ahead of me. No matter how hard I run, they'll always be in front of me, like Achilles and the tortoise. Sometimes I feel special, but I know it's not true.

(Do you feel the same? Anyways, I'm alright, I kinda need to be sad to function. Happy 2022! ❤️🌷)

bruh I think Heiter is cool...... 👉👈

! These are not his original clothes. I was just playing around.

I didn't realise it at the time, but I found out his name also means "cloudy", which aligned perfectly with my vision...! I put a lot of effort into the gold frame, but I realised it can distract you from the artwork itself, so I still love it without the frame. It's my first time drawing meteors and clouds, so I hope I did alright.

This took around 9 hours and 48mins. It felt longer than that. It took me almost a month to finish it because I was sick and was also working.

Main brushes Plimsoll, Derwent, Tinderbox

Anyway, I love Heiter so much. I hope you enjoy it. Now on to the next painting 🥰

Best friends go to dinner 🩷

Koetji (green) and Isawo (blue) go to dinner together. It's not to celebrate their anniversary, it's just for fun! Isawo bought too many flowers, so he decided to give the rest to Koetji. And it's too cold, so they need to be really close to each other. You might have seen them in older posts where I named them Centre and Slick.

Once again, I continue to embarrass myself. But here's what I've been up to. A few years ago I went overseas, and I saw a real river. It even had bridges. I walked along it quietly, it was so pretty. Unfortunately it ignited my inspiration for a pathetic and hopeless story.

I messed up Koetji's shoulders, but whatever. Sorry about the colours. It's not the best. BUT, I had fun, which is most important. I love making silly stories. I want to try again. Ciao 🥹

damnb.. I wonder who's my fave character from Frieren 💭💭💭💭💭

When I saw his Frieren cafe outfit, my jaw ⏬ DROPPED 💥 I don't care that there was no better resolution image. From the pixels, I knew my man looked angelic.

But I didn't even intend to paint him like THIS. I just wanted to do like, 100 sketches of him. I don't know what I'm doing in this painting.

I did struggle with his face a lot. I've never drawn long faces before (I had to give him head surgery LMAO). And spectacles are difficult. But I tried 🤠🥀🥀

I think sage fits him because he's kinda wise no? And he helps people heal, just like sage.

I like to think that he's gonna lead us to some expensive wine collection or something 🧍

Completely optional to render every damned crease.

I have no idea what I was doing. I have never rendered a hand or a face in colour (to this degree). It was supposed to be black and white, and I'm not sure how to fix the clashing of hues.

Anyway I love Heiter so much, I didn't realise it at first. But my instinct already knew I liked bro from episode 1💥💥‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️💥💥💥 I love funny characters‼️‼️‼️💥💥

ok fr this was funny to draw. but i struggled a lot with the colours... i don't really know how to apply colour theory to paintings so I just used whatever felt right and smacked all kinds of effects. Idk what I'm doing.

Goodbye 2025...

Sorry if this is rushed, I want to watch one punch man.

Edit: OMG ITS MY 100TH POST!!! auspicious...

It was a good year, surprisingly. Actually looking back on the year I realised that I was slowly... getting better.

And I feel better too this year. Like, for the first time in my life I actually feel quite confident with myself. And I also managed to learn more about anxiety and how to cope with it, the methods to calm it down, and feeling all those weird discomforts during these times. I'm so happy.

I stepped back a lot from posting and generally being online also. Mainly because idk, at first it was for mental health. Like, I wondered, would the whimsy of drawing return if I was drawing like the old days when I internet was a slow dial-up precious resource? I really miss that spark. So i experimented life with reduced internet time... Switched to physical sketchbooks... And yknow what, it's actually so nice. life feels more gentler to me now. I no longer feel that imagined pressure to Create Forever To Stay Relevant or things like that. And when that pressure is eased off the whimsy is free to just dance around and let imagination flow out on the canvas.

I think I am ok with just being 'me' and just... existing? (Im me he says)(You're not good enough to be my fake!)

Anyway, cheers to 2025 and I thank it for the many lessons, experiences, conversations, artworks, friends, places, and feelings along the way.

You're late kitten

Ok after 1 entire year I finally completed this goofy ass painting. It was a reference to actor William Dafoe, who had a photoshoot like this. It was so inspiring.

I felt really happy to paint digitally again. Suddenly, I knew what to do, and I picked up right where I left off. I could see all the things I was missing and where I was overthinking. Stuff I needed to erase and do without. The painting looked good already, why was I so scared? Back then, had given up on this piece because I was too tired from everything... I'm so happy that I finished what I started.

Which of his socks do you like most?

Maybe sometimes you need a nice long break, even if it's for an entire year, or maybe many years, to realise what you need?

I guess you really can't rush things. It will happen naturally.

Shinazugawa brothers angst i love them sm and I just want them to be happy 😔!!!!!!!!!! I recently rewatched the hashira training arc because I could not for the life of me remember that entire season! And i was so pleased to see that there were so many sweet Genya moments, it's nice to see him grow up and mature. The part where he met Sanemi broke my heart though. ☹️ sighs

Also sorry about Sanemi's tsuba because it has an intricate asf design so accept the rectangle for now... *chef kiss* 🫦💚

Genya uses a smaller sword called wakizashi. It's not necessarily "half" a sword but Sanemi needs insults 👍

Anyway I literally have to board a plane RIGHT NOW 😭😭😭😭 I LOVE THE SILLIES
