Rebranding...but not in the ways you think.

Have you ever felt disconnected from who you are?
Have you ever wondered if this is it?
Is this all there is to life?
Have you ever wanted more?
More than what society teaches, or even what our parents wanted for us.

Close your eyes - yes do it right now - and imagine your dreamiest self.
How close are you to that reflection?
You can't be that far if your mind already has a clear image.
But do YOU believe that?
Do you believe in your most potent dreams?

They say "whether you believe you can, or believe you can't, you're right".
Let that sink in.

You need more proof don't you?
But what about all God's miracles.
What about the placebo and nocebo effect.
What about positive psychology.
What about your very existence.

We can always choose who we want to be.
We can decide how we respond to life.
We can ask for more. Do more. Be more.
But not to validate our existence to others, or feel worthy or productive...but because YOU deserve peace.

YOU deserve abundance.
YOU deserve miracles.
YOU deserve good things.

Note to self
Welcome to my poetry.

If you had to choose 1 thing to criticize about society nowadays, what would it be? 🤔 (In relation to this topic)

I've been seeing this phrase often lately and although it can be misinterpretet, I do see deep truth in it: "The price of community is inconvenience" 👏 and I will add that the price of no community is loneliness.

‼️ALSO the reward for community is belonging, and the reward for no community is well...you tell me? Is it what we are incorrectly calling "protecting my peace"? Because to me, that is simply avoiding responsibility and isolating ourselves.

No wonder everyone is depressed, lonely and burnt out. We were never meant to do this alone.

I noticed an influx in faking "vulnerable" content for the sake of being relatable. But how relatable is it when you filmed yourself crying 10x times to get the perfect shot? 🙄

Yes, people being themselves and showing the range of human emotions online is refreshing, but you can *feel* when someone is being performative; fake authenticity and performed vulnerability.

Is this connecting us more to eachother? Or disconnecting us from ourselves? Are we meant to cry in front of a phone instead of using that phone to call a loved one when sad? 🤔

I've always been a social critic and I want to open up more of these conversations online and offline. My opinion is that authenticity is meant to be in the moment and shared when we feel safe doing so, not forcing it to get views or followers. Emotions are sacred and to be shared intentionally 🙏🏽✨️

What are your thoughts on this? Do you like seeing the range of human emotions online or do you believe some things are meant to remain private? 👀⬇️

No right or wrong answers, we each have different perspectives and preferences when it comes to social media. by @wholistika

Emotions are misunderstood.

Often, we label emotions that are challenging, confronting and uncomfortable as "bad" or "negative", when in fact all our emotions tell a story.

HOWEVER, I believe there are ✨️constructive✨️ ways to express those emotions and there are 💥destructive💥 ways to express those emotions.

That is the difference. One is healthy, the other is toxic.

Which emotion do you think is most misunderstood? Let's debate in the comments ⬇️ by @wholistika

Fibre is like an internal mop for your gut!! 🧹✨️🦠

There are 2 types of fibre:
🥑Soluble fibre
🥦Insoluble fibre

SOLUBLE fibre means it dissolves in water so think "mushy, soft, gel-like" in avocado, bananas and chia seed pudding for example.

INSOLUBLE fibre means it does not dissolve in water and remains "hard, pulp-like, sometimes referred to as roughage" like in broccoli, beans, and walnuts.

🧹The pulp you see in the video after fruit and veggies being juiced is INSOLUBLE FIBRE which literally cleans out your gut and helps your stools have a nice sausage shape.

Don't throw this stuff out - add it to smoothies or soups or simply eat it as is!!

Did you learn something new today? 👀

I am not just a life coach, I am a guide back to self. ✨️

✨️I believe that the love you have for yourself, can be a reflection of the love you accept from others.

✨️I believe that in order to give wise advice, you must be applying it yourself, even mastered it yourself.

✨️I believe that in a world filled with "beauty standards", it is a courageous act of rebellion to deeply and radically fall in love with yourself.

🍃You deserve to be at peace with yourself. You deserve to feel *really* good about yourself. You deserve to enjoy life.

...but first you must take responsibility for yourself and ask yourself: "Am I the dream version of myself? What do I have to change to be her/him?"

🍃Radical confidence comes from taking radical responsibility for ourselves.

How can you love yourself more? How can you show up more courageously? How can you start speaking up for yourself?

Stop rushing so much

Stop stressing and worrying about the past and the future
Stop wasting your precious seconds on this earth by making everything about things you cannot change or control

Let go of the what ifs, could haves, and should haves and accept everything for what is.

Sometimes you really need to remind yourself that you only get this one life
This one chance to live your life to the fullest

So let it all go. Take some deep breaths. And listen to your heartbeat.

Be present, be mindful, be right here, right now.

Because the now...is all you have. by @wholistika

We heal in comm-unity.
It takes a village.
Shouting self-care at people who actually need community care is how we fail people.

We've heard these sayings, yet western society keeps preaching "lone wolf" mentality and hyper individuality.

Self-care has been a big movement of our generation, for good and sometimes for worse...the social critic in me in this post is not saying that boundaries, therapy and mental health days are negative, but they are not the entire picture.

Those 3 aspects focus mainly on the individual and not enough on the COLLECTIVE. The community.

The healthiest community that live the longest according to the blue zones research are the ones with the most community engagement, sense of belonging and social connection.

If you have poor gut health, then your gut bacteria is imbalanced and going to crave salt, fat, sugar and all the good tasting stuff that makes you FEEL tired, sad and depressed. 🍕🥐🍿🍦🍩🍪🎂🍫

If you are already burnt out, then I know you don't have the time, space, or capacity to address your emotions so you choose to stuff your face with comfort food to get on with the day...

❤️‍🩹But you can't eat your pain away, you can't fill that void in your heart with food, you can't stress eat your way to productivity and you can't gain proper pleasure from food in the long term because you are eating MINDLESSLY.

First - this is not your FAULT, but it is your RESPONSIBILITY.

👉🏽The first thing I invite you to do is to IDENTIFY the emotion you most often eat from. That simple.

Start there and comment what it is⬇️ boredom, sadness, loneliness, stress, celebration, comfort, anger.... by @wholistika

The secret to life: love life and it will love you right back!
DROP a 🩷in the comments to claim it.

✨️Whether you call it optimism, the law of attraction, God answering your prayers, placebo effect, quantum physics, positive psychology, growth mindset, manifestation...IT EXISTS. Energy is real.

Flirt with life. 🫦
Play with life. 🤸‍♂️
Party with life.🎉

✨️Just like being flirty and playful with your crush, make life your biggest lover and fall in deep love with yourself.

Fall in love with life itself.
Romanticize your life.

✨️"The more beauty you see in life, the more beauty your eyes will see" (in arabic we say "3younak el 7elwin" = meaning your eyes see life's beauty)

❗️*this is not to bypass life's hardships or to discount struggle. I do not believe in toxic positivity, but i do believe we have so much more power than we believe and dancing to the rhythm of our own heart beats is FREE. Practicing gratitude for what we have and not taking life so seriously is liberating and does wonders for your physical & mental health...dance a little, laugh a little, joke a little, the day you stop playing is the day you kill your youth.

✨️How can you flirt with life more? COMMENT below ⬇️ and send this post to a friend who needs to take life less seriously and PLAY. FLIRT. DANCE. 💃🏽
