Its the start of our 32nd season at @factorytheater, In Pursuit of Happiness. Happy Opening to Radical Futures!

I love an anthology. @bz_florida 's play is a real vertical slice of themself. Charming, whitty, and a little philosophical when they want to be, B.Z. is a writer to look out for. We're proud to be producing their work, written and developed within @zackpeercy 's Writer's Workshop.

@kaylabanana797 is a beast. They can assemble a God Crew and a Tripple S Tier cast. The show looks and sounds and tastes so good. We love to see it when artists come together to make the future right now.

Welcome in, stay for a drink and enjoy Radical Futures by @whomikejones21

And now its time for our Main Event!

Its no secret that I'm a wrestling fan. That's why @hamletthedane 's play became a favorite after it hit my email years ago. A play that brings the excitement of the squared circle to an audience who'd never experienced that kind of theater along with themes of Legacy, Family, and Duty was an easy choice to cap off my first season as @factorytheater 's latest AD.

@ashtreegates has made a special one for you. She has transformed our theater (with the help of the best designers in Chicago) into a haunted wrestling gym. Down to tearing out our stage platform. Under her direction this is a play that keeps kicking out at three. Keeps you guessing and will leave you stunned.

As always, I need to thank the Factory Theater ensemble. The power of our theater comes from the dedication and hard work of our ensemble. They're the ones who sell concessions, build the sets, and wash laundry, but also they lead committees, research grants, and submit plays for the Factory season. The Factory can't run without them. Thanks gang.

Opening night party is Saturday because we all have work in the morning. So I'll see you on Howard Street! by @whomikejones21

Been a minute since I photo dumped. Tag yourselves (remember when you could tag yourself in Facebook posts? Can you still do that?)

Jazmyn and I will be spending the next two weeks in Europe! Our honeymoon, and we're very excited. My phone won't be on (mostly) but i'll still be popping in when I get that sweet sweet hotel wifi. Please keep sending me memes. by @whomikejones21

Another opening night tonight at @factorytheater. Kubricain is the second installment for our 31st Season Rage on the Stage.

@zackpeercy is having a great stretch on the Factory Stage. Greetings was a touching story of friendship and growing older. Muffed was a love story to a community and to earmuffs. Kubrickian is a long reflection (no spoilers from me. All of Zack's plays are feats of the human condition. Our need to connect. Our need to love and be loved.

Such a play needs a fearless leader, and so stepped in @ajhasawebbrand with a vision. Undeterred by a lone, 'Then," AJ has brought this script to life with the best and most fearless actors, designers, and Stage management in Chicago. A play like this can only work with a team this good. You will be left speechless by the work on display.

And once again, I must thank every Factory Theater ensemble member who has done their part to make this show happen and The Factory Theater run.

I'm sorry that I didn't get to Full Metal Jacket in time, don't hold it against me. by @whomikejones21

This week, X sits down with Michael Jones - Artistic Director of the Factory Theater in Chicago and X’s former College Roommate. They talk about what it takes to be an artistic director, how Factory goes about developing new playwrights, and as always... friendship. Time to brush the dust of that monologue and get your Ben Nye make-up kit out the closet, because it time for a night at the Theatre.

Tomorrow we open The Sporting Life at the @factorytheater and I am so excited to be part of the theater brave enough to put it on stage.

From the first time I read this script, I have not stopped thinking about it. @idesofmarge has written a play so visceral and raw, and one that speaks to the inherent fear and violence of coming of age, and of becoming a woman. As soon as we decided to produce Chicago Playwrights outside of Thh Factory, I knew if there was a play right now that speaks to The Factory's history of story telling, horror, and shamelessness, it was The Sporting Life.

Headed by @kaylabanana797, Dot's story of womanhood is a Rollercoaster. I knew this would not be easy, but with a smart and confident director, anything is possible. Insane that a few months ago she was directing a silly 'too many hats' comedy. Goes to show the range.

I am proud of the work that not only our actors and production team, but all of the Ensemble of The Factory Theater, who help with box office, laundry, and just about everything else to keep the show running.

We open tomorrow night, big weekend, so come and say hi, and stay for the latest Factory Classic! taken in The Factory Theater by @whomikejones21
