Allow me to reintroduce myself… My name is Keisha, but outside of work you can call me Kay 🫶🏽 I’m an Atlanta native who’s been in Florida for about six years now. I’m a mom, a caregiver, an award winning and highly decorated corporate career woman, a part-time bartender, a brand ambassador, and a passionate community advocate who believes deeply in the power of bringing people together. For the longest I fought wearing multiple hats… but now more than ever I embrace it as being multifaceted allows me to show my authentic self. After years of working events both corporate and nightlife, I realized something… I didn’t just want to attend the moments that create connection. I wanted to curate them. Now let’s be honest… “life be life’n.” Along the way I’ve had to pause, reset, and take breaks. I’m just a girl… but that girl has never lost sight of what fuels her the most: creating spaces for inclusion, visibility, and community ❤️. This Women’s History Month, I’m doing something special. I’m bringing back an event I originally planned for Black History Month and merging it with another vision I’ve been working on.Because who says February is the only time we celebrate Black excellence? I’m incredibly thankful for the love, wisdom, and guidance I’ve received from other Black women here in Gainesville, Florida. Their love and care has helped shape the woman I am today. I would love an opportunity to discuss and celebrate what that looks and feels like with everyone. 📅 While you wait Save the Date! Those who know me personally know that 9/10 even with work events… my kid is probably with me.. he was literally raised in a leasing office… and even as we navigate through the teenage phase…. He’s still my favorite person and I enjoy making memories with him. Work consumes enough of my life and I only get so many years before he’ll have a life of his own… I wouldn’t trade our adventures during my down time for anything in the world. I’m the mom that will take hanging out with my kid over a happy hour any day… I’m cherishing every moment I have… hopefully he’ll still wanna catch up when he gets older….
