I had the best time at this years London show.
Was an absolute honour to work it with so many other extremely talented artists.
Met some good friends and made some new ones.
A massive thank you to Lee for lending me his leg for the two days. Traveling with me and being an awesome friend. We laughed so much so hard it was amazing.

Today I reunited and caught up with my tattoo dad @leeholman521 when he came to visit me in Tavistock.

My journey started 21years ago when I was 17. Ascended the stairs into Living art Tattoo and asked how to get into tattooing and if I could apprentice. He gave me that opportunity loudly booming “come in to the studio make the coffee, tidy up and be my bitch” followed by his signature laugh. words I’ll never forget.
The door somewhat opening to a world that would shape the rest of my life.

He took me under his wing and I got under his feet.
He scared the bollox off me with his louder than life personally and life but I never once felt unsafe.
The studio was a crazy place lots of stuff I’d never seen before, lots of stuff I “didn’t see”
Young and naively navigating a crazy lifestyle of tattoos, bikers, girls and lots of crazy characters, the buzz of tattoo machines and picking up anything I could along the way learning about tattooing the old way the right way.
Scrubbing tips and grips, getting lunch from the potato van, sorting out stencils, sweeping and mopping and anything that was needed I tried my best to do, all to the smooth sounds of Johnny Cash

@adrianwillard did my first ever tattoo.
I went soo white I could have challenged Daz and from then I was hooked.

Things changed a lot over the years in tattooing but I’m eternally grateful to Lee for giving me that first opportunity, looking after me and that foot in the door, teaching me the ways things should be done.
Catching up today laughing about the crazy memories meant the world and getting to give you some of my Sullen art collective Tees in person meant so much.

What at the time probably felt so small to you has shaped my entire life.
Thank you dad.

My favourite bird and an absolute pleasure to tattoo I really enjoyed the colour theory in this piece. Getting to do both front view and back view was amazing. Thanks Terry can’t wait to add more British birds.
