Building a Collective that TRUSTS each other as we live I.N.T.A.C.T.™ and lead with Compassion In our work spaces & in our communities

POSTS STORIES REELS

What does it mean to live I.N.T.A.C.T.? For me, it’s more than an acronym. It’s a way of moving through the world with intention, curiosity, compassion, creativity, and community.
Living I.N.T.A.C.T. reminds us that we don’t have to navigate life, healing, or change alone. We can remain open to possibility, stay willing to learn, care for others, nurture our creativity, and surround ourselves with people we trust to help us see beyond our own fears and limitations.
Which part of Living I.N.T.A.C.T. speaks to where you are right now? #reflection #saturday #community #compassion #leadership See you on November 12th! Register now! by @whyiamawoman

What if being your authentic self is also part of how you make an impact? During one of our Hour to Honor conversations, Lori shared something that stayed with me: “My honest way of being in the world is to be as loving as possible.”

She spoke about finding her way back to the part of herself that simply loves people—and how that love has shaped the work she does and the lives she’s able to touch.

There is something powerful about allowing who you truly are to guide how you serve others. Sometimes our greatest impact doesn’t begin with doing more. It begins with becoming more of who we have always been. ☝🏾

Thank you, Lori, for bringing your wisdom, your heart, and your authentic self to the Hour to Honor.

For me, entrepreneurship has never just been about profitability. It’s about impact.

Impact on people.
Impact on our communities.
Impact on the environment we all share.

That’s what being a social entrepreneur means to me and it’s at the heart of why I created Hour to Honor. I wanted to create a space where we can have meaningful conversations about the issues affecting real people, listen to perspectives that may be different from our own, and leave a little more informed, compassionate, and connected than we were before.

This is what shifts culture and drives change despite the amount of money we make. 🧡

One of my favorite things about hosting Hour to Honor is the growth that comes when we all connect and leave our silos. It’s a blessing to see our guests bloom in action. Just like these flowers, we have to continue to be poured into AND watered. I’m looking forward to more of you joining us for our last three events of the year 💐🪻🪷🌱. We’ll see you soon! #growing #trustedcollective #community #advocacy #bettertogether by @whyiamawoman

Hour to Honor is where real change happens, month after month. During these events we’ve learned sometimes the greatest impact isn’t what happens during the conversation — it’s who we become because of it. 🩵
Hearing a guest share that these conversations have helped her become a better person is exactly why I continue creating space for women to listen, learn, reflect and grow together.
That’s what Hour to Honor is all about. One conversation can stay with you long after the hour is over. Lori, Thank you so much for sharing with us!
Our next Hour to Honor is coming October 23. Stay tuned for details on how to join us. 🧡 #community #communityadvocacy #caregiver #advocate #womensupportingwomen by @whyiamawoman

On this rainy Saturday in Los Angeles, I’m thinking about rest. ☔️📚
If you know me, you know there’s a good chance you’ll find me somewhere with a book nearby. But I’m also learning that rest doesn’t always have to look like sleep or doing absolutely nothing.
Sometimes rest looks like reading…daydreaming...sitting quietly. OR it can look like giving yourself permission to not be productive for a little while.
At one of our past Hour to Honor gatherings, we pulled cards from Tricia Hersey’s Rest Deck, @thenapministry and one reminded us to practice daydreaming — to give our minds enough space to wander, imagine, and breathe.
I think rainy days are good for that. Honestly, the perfect day or weekend to do just that.
So today, I’m giving myself permission to slow down a little. Maybe pick up a good book. Maybe daydream. Maybe do nothing at all.

We often hear people say, “Just be a good human.”
But what does that look like in an environment where humanity can be difficult to hold onto? Jails, prisons, detention camps, you name it.
This month, Hour to Honor is talking about incarceration and asking how those who work within the system can protect themselves physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually—while still seeing and treating others as human.
Join us October 23 for the conversation. Registration details coming soon! #community #communityadvocacy #advocate #caregiver #healthyliving by @whyiamawoman

What if compassion isn’t just good for others—but good for us, too? When we lead with compassion, help others, and practice altruism, we’re creating more opportunities for connection, calm, and care in our everyday lives.

This is the reason we started holding these amazing convo…and there’s more to come this month!

Our next Hour to Honor is October 23! Stay tuned—registration details are coming soon, and we’d love to have you join us.

Immigration is often discussed through policies, politics, and headlines. But behind every headline are human beings who have suffered some real traumatic experiences.

As we continue to share this conversation from Hour to Honor, here are two questions worth asking ourselves — and each other. Listen. Reflect. Then tell us: What question do you think we should be asking right now about immigration?

Many of us have tried to make sense of it all, but are met with more questions than answers. Get prepared for the next one coming up in October!

This #throwbackthursday we’re taking a look back at Hour to Honor over the last few months.

Hour to Honor has given us space to talk about things that aren’t always easy to discuss. It’s given us space to listen to one another, to learn and, most importantly, to connect.

As I looked back through some of the moments we’ve captured along the way, I was reminded that this monthly event isn’t defined by one gathering...it’s being built conversation by conversation, story by story, and person by person.

Here are a few moments from our journey so far from March-September. ✨

If you’ve ever joined us for an Hour to Honor, what’s a moment or conversation that has stayed with you? Tell me below. 🩵 #community #support #empowerment #activism by @whyiamawoman

Why talk about immigration now? Because behind every headline are human beings and people carrying the weight of helping them. I’ve seen how fear and uncertainty impact not only those directly affected, but also the educators, attorneys, advocates, community leaders and allies who show up for them. I’ve even seen that fear reach my own students and I know for a fact that a little bit of compassion goes a long way.
That’s why I chose to make immigration part of this month’s Hour to Honor conversation. Those “doing the caring” need care, too.
What does showing up for your community look like right now? #caregiver #immigration #advocate #communityadvocacy #healing by @whyiamawoman

There’s a tremendous amount of strength in showing up exactly as you are. 💪🏾
That’s what this collective represents: a space to come together authentically, share honestly, listen without judgment, and remember that we don’t have to carry everything alone.
Tomorrow, September 18th @ 11 a.m. PST, we’re creating that space again at Hour to Honor.
Come as you are. Bring that heavy load you’re carrying and join a community committed to honoring the people who care for everyone else, too.
There’s still time to register online and in-person. We’d love to have you in the room! (Link in bio)
