Looking back on National Women in Construction Week, we’re so grateful for such an incredible week 💞. From volunteering in the community to hosting industry events, a site tour, and our career fair + panel, the week was full of opportunities to learn, connect, and celebrate the women shaping the construction industry. It was amazing to see so many members show up, get involved, and support one another throughout the week. 💛

Thank you to everyone who came out, participated in our events, and helped make this week so special. We’re also incredibly thankful to our guest speakers and sponsors for sharing your time, knowledge, and support with our chapter.

And the biggest thank you of all goes to our President Sara Lopez and Vice President Aaisha Akhtar for making this entire week possible. The amount of time, planning, and effort that went into coordinating every event, reaching out to companies and speakers, organizing logistics, and making sure everything ran smoothly truly does not go unnoticed. Your leadership and dedication are the reason this week was such a success, and our chapter is so lucky to have you both. Thank you for all the work you put in behind the scenes and for continuing to grow and strengthen this community. You both deserve all the recognition and appreciation for everything you’ve done.

A huge thank you to PWB San Diego and our guest speakers Brooke Velazquez, Nilay Barefield, and Nina Ridgley for an afternoon full of great conversations and even better takeaways! We loved getting to practice our elevator pitches, talk all things interviews, and hear different perspectives from women in the industry.

This is a great opportunity to volunteer, give back, and support an organization that continues to support our chapter! 💗
