Yesterday there was a ton of love at the Record Bar in Kansas City as Blackpool Lights performed This Town’s Disaster exactly 20 years to the day after its release.

For the first time since 2007, original members Jim, Billy, and Brian shared the stage together again. There were lots of hugs, smiles, sing-alongs, and even a few surprises, including a Superdrag cover and songs from the Okie Baroque EP.

What a heartfelt evening. Thanks to everyone who helped make it possible. Let’s hope we don’t have to wait nearly 20 years to see them all play together again. ❤️

On June 20, 2006, we released This Town’s Disaster. Now, 20 years later to the day, we’re back in our hometown of Kansas City, to play the album front to back. We’ve got a few surprises planned, and some limited edition merch that we’re really excited about.

This is the first time since 2007 that original members Jim, Billy, and Brian have played together, and The Whiffs are opening, so you know it’s going to be a great show. We’d love to see as many familiar faces, and new friends as possible, so grab your advance tickets now and let’s pack Record Bar. Can’t wait to see you there! taken in recordBar by @wickedsupti
