For me, being a leader is not about having everything go according to plan. It is about knowing how to react when things go wrong. A good leader needs to stay calm, motivate the people around them, and be creative enough to find a different solution. Sometimes, we have to adjust our plans and make decisions on the spot. That is what leadership is about—being flexible, adapting to the situation, and having the courage to take action when things do not go as expected.

What Independence Means to Me

Independence, to me, does not mean that I have to do everything alone.

It means having the freedom to dream, to express myself, to create, and to pursue excellence in my career. It means having the courage to build something of my own, to use my voice, and to continue growing into the woman I am meant to become.

But independence also means knowing who I am and what I value.

I can be a strong and ambitious woman while still embracing the beauty of being led by a man I respect and trust. I do not see strength and femininity as opposites. I believe a woman can be powerful in her own right and, at the same time, willingly allow her man to lead, protect, and provide direction within the relationship.

For me, true independence is not about refusing to need anyone. It is about having the freedom to choose who I trust, who I follow, and who I build my life with.

And above everything else, I want to be a sanctuary for my children—a place where they feel safe, loved, understood, and free to become who they are.

I want them to see a woman who dreams boldly, works passionately, loves deeply, and knows when to stand on her own and when to allow someone else to stand beside her.

That, to me, is independence:

The freedom to become myself, the wisdom to know when to be strong and when to surrender, and the grace to build a life where ambition, love, femininity, partnership, and family can all exist together.
