Hello everyone! I’m Ricardo, a photographer based in Palmela, Portugal, focused in wedding and family documentary photography (I do photograph sports and concerts once in a while). I also usually work with my talented girlfriend and I’m the stepfather of a couple of bright kids, Lara and Gil. When I’m not working or dealing with daily challenges, you can find me watching tv shows, movies or gaming. I always was an introvert so if you’d tell me that years later I’d be working daily with different people, I’d call you crazy. But the reality is that despite still being an introvert, I love people and meeting new ones. Photography gave me the perfect excuse to be at places where I wouldn’t be if it wasn’t for it and gives me the opportunity to meet such different people and that’s something that fulfills me. I am that person that is constantly observing others and what is happening around me, which is crucial to my approach to photography. It helps me to anticipate situations and not missing crucial moments. With my approach you are going to get:- Real, unposed photographs- Memories you will cherish forever- Funny scenes (I like to laugh so I’m constantly looking for uncommon and funny interactions)- A mix of a photojournalistic and documentary approach (which is my inspiration)My goal is to deliver photographs that will get you emotional but also will make you laugh. I will treat your special day or your family as I’d like it to be if I was in your shoes. Or even better! For the past few weeks I’ve been going through my archive selecting work to update my portfolio/website. These are all from national events back in 2023 when I started to photograph paintball. Most of them were shot with borrowed lens and bodies from @24mistik and my girlfriend, @andreiapatriarca , since at the time I didn’t own a telephoto.
