There's a display at the library of some Dorothea Lange prints, and I made this from "Man Beside Wheelbarrow"

Trying to use what I learned from the tutorial yesterday but with my own colors and with an anime boy... this is what I ended up with 🤪. Need to start studying color theory next 😈👍🏽

Final drawing of #inktober!!!

I learned a lot through this challenge, both technically and mentally. I'm very glad to have participated and to have tried to finish as best as I could 😃👍🏽

I will miss posting a drawing every day though... 🥲 Let's see where this leads 🤪

Gear robot
Second attempt 😈 Just couldn't let the previous attempt be my output for the day. This is from a "gear robot" toy from the 60s or 70s

Pretty basic, but hard to try to get it looking regular

Rushed and boy on floor appears to have no bones or musculature 😅

Tomorrow I'll try harder to plan composition and do some kind of background / more "complete" image... maybe 😝

I love cookies. Is this an accurate portrayal of a snack? 🤷🏽‍♀️ Looks good to me 🤪

Sooo my husband looked at this one and shook his head 🙊 too scary 🤫🫠😳🥺🫣😭

Also didn't plan well and drew this too close to the left border of the page 🙈 I originally began sketching something else, but it was more like arrogance than ego 🤔

Also kind of looks like Gollum...

Strawberry cake -- didn't plan well enough in terms of texture and value, although I used a ruler for the shape and angles and such :/ Tbh, I did rush

I'm still proud of myself for finishing today. I didn't feel like posting this, but I also didn't feel like doing the whole thing over or trying to come up with a new idea.

Things began going awry when I hatched the right side of the image, because frosting is supposed to be smooth, and the vertical lines make it look a bit confusing. And the strawberries don't stand out enough from the frosting on top. Hmmmm will try again someday 😁👍🏽

From flowerfairies.com

Botanical drawing is tough! I tried to copy it exactly, but then I thought to try doing the general shapes.
