I’ve been in the hair industry for over 10 years. Customising, making wigs from scratch & building my own 6 figure hair business from the ground up. Over that time, I realised how many people want to learn properly whether it’s to master their own wigs, improve their technique or start a business but don’t have a clear, reliable or beginner-friendly place to start.

If you love curly wigs but hate high maintenance, read this 👀

Curly hair doesn’t have to mean spending forever detangling, restyling and fighting knots. The key is doing a few small things regularly so it never gets to that point.

✨ Don’t overload it with product — using too much mousse, oil and leave-in can cause build-up, making the hair feel heavy, sticky and harder to manage. Keep your routine simple.

✨ Refresh, don’t restart — you don’t need to fully soak and restyle your wig every morning. A little water and leave in conditioner on the areas that need it can bring the curls straight back to life.

✨ Don’t wait until it’s tangled to detangle it — lightly brushing or detangling it regularly, especially after wearing it, helps stop small tangles from turning into full on knots later. A few minutes now can save you a whole detangling session later 😭

That’s the secret with curly hair: little maintenance often > leaving it until it becomes a big job.

A wig can look 10/10 on the model… and then arrive and have you wondering why it’s not giving the SAME thing 😭

That doesn’t always mean the wig is bad. Sometimes it just wasn’t the best choice for you.

1. A wig can look completely different on you than it does on the model 👀

Your face shape, head size, parting, layers and how the hair has been styled can all change the final look. Even the same wig can look totally different with a middle part vs side part. Use model pictures for inspiration, but think about what usually flatters YOU too.

2. Choose based on the maintenance you’re actually willing to do 😭

A frontal can give you more styling freedom, but there’s also more lace to maintain. A closure is usually quicker and easier for everyday wear. Same with textures, curly and wavy wigs look gorgeous, but they normally need refreshing, detangling and product more often than straight hair.

So before choosing, ask yourself: am I actually going to keep up with this? 😂

3. Your lifestyle matters more than people realise.

If you’re rushing to work every morning, going gym regularly or just want something you can throw on and go, a low-maintenance closure wig might make more sense.

But if you love switching your parting, styling your hair differently and don’t mind spending more time on maintenance, you might prefer a frontal.

Basically… don’t just buy the prettiest wig on the website.

Buy the one that fits your face, routine AND patience level 😂🤍

Taking 4 wigs for a 4 day trip is NOT doing too much… it’s called being prepared 🤭

Because what if the outfit changes? What if the weather changes? What if i change my mind?? Exactly.
