My partner calls listening to music "going to church," and if that's the case, seeing @thenarcissistcookbookofficial & @bughunterbug in Seattle this May was a sacred pilgrimage. One of the majorest reasons it was so transformative is because it really cemented that, holy shit, Matt is selling my shirt. My first commercial licensing deal and it was through a person whose music sings to my soul. I saw it and felt it and watched people buy it and that was what it took to get my mind to wrap about the reality of it. It's so *wildly* exciting. Matt and Bug are the sweetest!! I brought Whale Named Dolphin, the toy I had my 'Gendering Teddy' moment with, and both of them engaged in a way that I will keep close to my heart. I am so thrilled that Matt signed my copy of MYTH and my vest just how I wanted and next year I need to come up with cool things for Bug, because he's always so sweet and I feel like I respond stoically (I'm just shy and autistic). Made it to Seattle for the @thenarcissistcookbookofficial & @bughunterbug show tonight! The train ride was so beautiful that I barely slept, but I'm hoping my excitement will carry me through the evening.
