TARHAL | Nomadic Logic
An artwork that transforms with its journey.

We are proud to have participated in Musahema Design Competition 2 – Iconic Urban Landmarks with our project TARHAL | Nomadic Logic.

How can art draw from nomadism without simply reproducing its familiar forms?

Inspired by the logic of nomadic life and rooted in our rich culture and authentic heritage, TARHAL explores a modular artistic system that can be assembled, reconfigured, and transformed according to changing needs and conditions. Rather than creating a fixed form, we designed a system where change becomes an essential part of the artwork.

Drawing from the spirit of our heritage and transforming it into tangible art, a sensory experience, and a revival of space, TARHAL reinterprets the essence of nomadic life through a contemporary artistic language.

The artwork moves through three states: The Unknown, The In-Between, and Transformation — reflecting the journey from uncertainty, to interaction and gathering, and finally to dismantling and reconfiguration.

Yay cause I LOVE that one
Library and learning hub
concept inspired by traditional Arabian Desert navigation, where sars guided direction and marked seasonal shifts.
Similarly, the library serves as a guiding source for those seeking direction in research or learning.
The façades embody the idea of stellar parallax -the apparent shift in a star's postion based on the viewer's angle-symbolizing the foidity of human perception and the absence of absolute truth. This concept informa dynamic, ever-changing spaces that respond to movement, evoking the infinite and cosmic, and offering a sensory experience that reflech the ongoing transformation of knowledge and understanding by @wiitns

Axis Of Becoming —

The poster reflects the cycle of life as an endless orbit, where phases repeat infinitely, Where the tree embodies living time – a being that grows and changes, yet remains rooted, storing memory and witnessing the passage of life, while the central grid’s void evokes a gravitational sense of eternity, The human figure moves within this system—not outside of it—part of a cosmic loop that continuously reshapes him.

Temporary Installation project- Design Studio-2 (2025)

The Unseen Hands is an installation contemplates the gap between what is seen and what is made; between the finished aesthetics and the hands that crafted them.
It emulates the environment of blacksmiths—not merely as a site of production, but as a marginal space shaped by struggle, improvisation, and disorder—elements intrinsic to the creative process.

Within a confined space governed by restricted movement, iron sheets bend as if they were extensions of bodies worn down by labor, while a sheer curtain remains a fragile barrier between the viewer and a world often excluded from sight.

The uncurated chaos of the material elements mirrors that of traditional workshops, where comfort has no place—only fleeting moments of respite stolen from the nearest piece of metal.

Visually, the space is divided in two:
One half is dark and silent, shrouded in black, representing the shadowed side of the craft—injuries, absence, and the slow accumulation of loss.
The other half pulses with the glowing colors of metal in transformation—orange, yellow, blue, and red—evoking the heat, the sequence of forging, and the process of becoming.

“The Unseen Hands” is an invitation to witness what is often hidden, to listen to the voice embedded in metal—to hear what the working hands say when pushed out of the frame,
yet remain present in every detail.
