My favorite solo from Shostakovich 1, first day working on this solo from an accuracy standpoint so it’s still a bit messy but I’ll work on cleaning it these next couple days along with other excerpts and TMEA stuff. Still trying to work out my A clarinet tone #clarinet #fyp #band #tmea #reel by @wil.anet

Took a pause on college and TMEA practice to go through a couple of solos for fun at the end of my practice session. This is my first time looking at this so there’s tons of room to improve!

Santa Clara Vangaurd 2026 “With Reckless Abandon”

FYI: I’ve been a drum major for the past 3 years in Texas so everything regarding my form has been taught to me by my various directors so if I conduct small in some portions and big and others that’s all from what I’ve been taught! So unfortunately I am currently unable to change some things while I’m still in high school, But I’m still open to any feedback for the future as I look into auditioning for different corps around :)

First conducting video so please feel free to leave any constructive feedback! I’m not good at editing so the camera quality looks bad as well as my hands looking slightly delayed #dci #drummajor #band #scv #fyp by @wil.anet

Tech band camp killed my reeds so my tone isn’t great right now but here is my starting point on this etude. I’m posting this only to give people a reference that taking the etudes slow at first will benefit you in the long run. TRUST ME, taking it slow now will help you out so much in the future. This may not sound like much compared to what got me into all state last year but this is the starting point and foundation of the process. Also always practice with a met (I had one in my AirPod while recording this)

Best of luck to everyone and make sure to not take stuff too fast and develop bad habits :)

FYI: I did mess up a couple times during this run so keep that in mind if you wanna comment

WE all are gonna make state (I lowkey only had like 10 min to practice so I learned half of the first etude and the full third one but at a slow and smart tempo, taking stuff slow helps in the long run :)

Rose 20 for the Texas tech band camp, I have honestly been bad about putting time and effort into practicing this so here’s where I’m at right now, I’m hoping to take it maybe 10 clicks faster for the audition because it’s currently a lot slower than I would like it to be. My reed was also soft so my tone is iffy 🫪
