Fashion/ makeup pictures and recent thoughts from reading Laziness Does Not Exist by @drdevonprice

I'm an overachiever because some small child parts of me believed my needs, my existence, and my way of living would never be enough. I'm going through a reset. Getting laid off as a Vice President at a software company has really shaken me. I don't know what is next but I know it needs to be designed around who I am now. I don't want to be chasing MORE. It's not helping me.

As I've aged, it's gotten harder to work, drive, go out, eat, exercise, and socialize. My disabilities are growing. My needs are more nuanced and specific. Asking for what I need is a hard skill for someone who's beeen SO PROUD that they could do it all alone for so long. I'm seeing that hyper independence of mine so differently now
Everything about who I am at work is coping mechanisms.
I've forgotten what it feels like to have no obligations.

I am hopeful that sharing bits of my journey help other people who struggle with #chronicpain #audhd #nonbinary #disabled #queer

August of crafting for dark circus, cuddling cats, eating popsicles, dopamine dressing, clowning, dancing, DJing, and spending time with loved ones.

I'm grateful for this life. I have so many people I get to love with my full force. So much love and acceptance. So much support and understanding.
So many hugs.

Find me at Day Rave September 27 and come collect a hug. by @wild_creatrix

We're bringing the bass to heal our grief!
Two weeks from today - another round of community movement therapy... DAY RAVE!
Sunday September 27th from 5 to 9pm, join us on the dance floor to move that amazing body to the beat! Rave and festival attire is encouraged. Wear a costume if you want to start celebrating Halloween early.
We just want you to DANCE! 🫶

FREE 21up
Sparkling decor, interactive projection visuals, DIY UV Body Art, and music from EDM, Techno, Drum and Bass, Hard style, Juke, and more!

We don't use strobes or flashing lights. There will be haze and lasers. Ear plugs are recommended.

I put these events on with @dilldujour who has been DJing for over 20 years. We do our best to make these events safe, fun, and accessible. Our dancefloor is sacred and all bodies belong. I'm #queer #disabled and have #chronicpain, plus a job every Monday Morning. 🌞 If you're like me, you need a place to let loose and still get home for a decent rest. Join us in two weeks for a ritual of release!
