A little late, but we had to say it… Exeter, you absolutely smashed your first @wildcardcomp series. 💥 From a small test event in February to a full “quarter run” competition, you gave us packed rooms, huge energy, and our most successful series outside Bristol. 🙌 Massive love to: 🎪 Obvious Events – especially Frazer (day-one legend) and Yuri for gear runs and ticket scanning. 🏠 Bomba – Brian for taking a chance on us, and Andy on sound for making every band shine AND keeping us on schedule. 🎸 Our sponsors – Studio54, Cameron Mills, and Apertography for studio time, backline, and the winner’s photo shoot (we can’t wait to see what you do with @parlayuk_). 🎶 The bands – every single act that hit the stage, from the test event to Grand Final, thank you for the graft and for bringing something new to Exeter. 👥 The crew – judges, photographers, security, bar staff, and everyone behind the scenes. We have our first One Shot champions! Congratulations to @3daysofwonder for their victory last night at @bombaexeter - they achieved a rare 'unicorn' performance, with both judges awarding them full marks. They join Cardiff champions @karmen.field in the 100% club! A massive thank you to @obvious_events for their help getting the first Exeter show up and running. We'll put our heads together and decide what comes next, so keep an eye on our socials for more info.
