Striking early, the Wildcats seized control and never looked back! @cornell_polo mounted a second half comeback, but first-half firepower carried @uk_polo to the title with a 17-13 victory, dethroning the reigning champions.

This week we had our second club practice of the season. Our players learned how to do cavalry drills. They worked on their offside, and learned about the nearside too. We are so excited to have so many new members learning the sport and can’t wait to see how they progress throughout the year! #polo #kentucky #universityofkentucky taken in Commonwealth Polo Club by @wildcat_polo

🎓 Senior Spotlight: Alejandro Puyana 🎓

Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Alejandro has been playing polo his whole life and came to UKY to play the sport he loves. As the only senior graduating this year, Alejandro has left an incredible mark on UK Polo through his leadership, dedication, and passion for the game, serving as our president this past year.

Over the last few years, he has also served as the Varsity Men’s Team Captain, helping lead the team to win the 2025 DII Intercollegiate Polo National Championship. An unforgettable accomplishment for our program.

Congratulations on graduating with your Bachelor’s in US Business! We’re so excited to see what’s next as Alejandro continues his polo career with the Hickory Hall Polo Club this summer. Thank you for everything you’ve done for UK Polo!🤍💙 by @wildcat_polo
